How do you reset to factory settings? Are we talking about all of the setting on the screen or the color settings?

This TV zooms the picture when a bright scene is on the screen. When there's a picture that is dark, the reception is normal. When there is something bright on the screen, it's as though someone is pushing a zoom button & the picture expands sending the top & bottom portions off the screen.

Sometimes when a mixed picture that is a little bright appears on the screen, then the TV just jumps as though the horizontal or vertical hold is faulty. This TV is about 15 years old. Do they still have horizontal & vertical holds for these TV's?

My mitsubishi projection tv comes on and works fine for a few minutes then lines like a verticle hold in different colors mostly green flicker up and down the screen like a verticle hold, I would like to...

Mine has the same problem. This kind of TV does not have a color wheel. I changed the 4 1000 uF caps on the DM board like advised here, but it did not fix the problem, but it did change it, so I suspect it's a similar problem somewhere on the signal or main board. The caps were getting ready to burst.

Regular picture size shrinks and color fades

This is a common problem on certain models of Philips Magnavox TV sets. The most common symptom is the screen will shrink and expand over and over. After the TV heats up for a while the video will work like normal. After a few weeks or months your TV will eventually stop working and not have video. I cannot find vertical hold

The sync is automatic. There are no knobs to turn. If the picture is rolling, look first to the source connection and make sure your tv has a solid vertical sync connection. If you are using the RF input then the issue could be within your small signal board also known as the SSB. Good luck.

Picture goes to verticle colored lines then goes blue screen tv s

This is likely capacitors failing in your DM or FMT module. This model is know for the 1000uf caps going bad after 4 years or so. There are 4 on each board, plus 4 on the power supply that may go bad. You can tell by the bulging tops that are not flat. Two 3300uf caps go bad in the power supply regularly as well. I recommend getting a service center to send the whole signal block or chassis into Mitsubishi for rebuild to get it all taken care of. The dissassembly is very difficult and frustrating. If you have tons of time and determination you could repair yourself.

Probaly a solder connection on your chassis. look closely around the fly back, horizontal driver transformer and the verticle and horizontal yoke connections

The picture rolls vertically sometimes.

I would check the capacitors in the verticle deflection circuit. Also try resoldering the verticle output as well as the verticle yoke pins where they connect to the chassis. Mitsubishi has had some trouble with their capacitors, you may have one that is leaking. Let me know if I can help you further.
