My projector does not power on. I have replaced the lamp but no luck. What can be wrong there is no letters coming on the display, can the problem be blown fuse somewhere?
Please check the power cable then fuse.
Some Proxima projectors had power supply problems, which resulted in either a dead unit, or, in the early stages of failure, might take a while to come on (maybe even 10 minutes or so). At the college where I'm employed, we've had 4 or 5 of the DP2000X models with this problem. The cause was a bad electrolytic capacitor in the power supply, namely a 47MFD/25volt unit, in the primary side of the circuit. I have pics of this circuit board. Another Proxima model had a shorted ceramic disc capacitor, and a blown fuse. If you have someone who is technically savvy, they could check your model for such a problem

Send me an email at [email protected], and I will then email back the pics (I'm heading out of town for a couple of days, so it might be Monday before I can reply). Please note that the Model you have may not have the same power supply unit (though the basic design might be similiar). Component values & locations would thus be different.
Chansn's suggestion should be checked first- if you have a blown fuse, usually some component failure has caused the poofed fuse, and replacing the fuse without finding the other defects will only blow it again, and possibly poof some additional parts.
Also, if you have the unit apart, and don't know where the power supply board is at, you could send a few pics, and I might be able to ID it for you, and maybe make a suggestion or two as to what to try.

1. Turn-off
the device by pressing the "ON/STANDBY" and unplug the power
cord
2. In the meantime, hold down buttons "ON/STANDBY",
"MENU" and "INPUT and plug-in the power cord
3. The lamp
operation counter will automatically turn to zero
4. Check if the
lettering "0H" appears on the lamp operation counter in the
status display
5. After the lamp operation counter has turned to
zero, turn off the projector by pressing "ON/STANDBY" and unplug
the device.

Hi Dodgecharger.
Thank you for your input. Can you send me the pic that you have or tell me the capacitor number on the circuit board.
Thanx
