Run yellow cable from xbox to TV vide input for picture!, now run the red/white cables to AUX ibput on the RCA and push function till you see aux and poof, you got Video on the tV and audio from the surround sound.

SOURCE: Can't figure out how to connect a subwoofer to my RCA RTD315W

HI,the rca system should have a sub pre out socket, plug a phono cable into this then to input on your sub and set volume to half way, also make sure the sub is set to on in the setup menu on the system.
Hope this helps.

SOURCE: RCA Home Theater model RTD315W

  • You need to change your audio settings in your TVs audio menu. Sounds like it is set to play only external source when connected, There will be a setting for all speakers to play, including TV's. Have your TV's volume up just a hair when changing your settings and you will be able to hear when it changes to what you want.

Cant get hd sound through home theatre system

Hi,here is my simple solution...
to listen your TV on your
Panasonic Home Theater System
** you need to connect "Audio Output " RCA jacks or "Optic cable output" or "HDMI out "of your TV
** to "AUX input " or "TV" OR "Any input" of your receiver or "Optic Cable input" or "HDMI input"
** than just switch to respective mode on
Panasonic Home Theater System RECEIVER corresponding your RCA or Optic or HDMI connection
.
There you go..Your TV sound is on the
Panasonic Home Theater System Receiver..By this means whatever you watch on the TV (TV tuner, satellite , Xbox ..etc.) ,it's sound will come thru your stereo..

Hope this helps!..if more help requires pls let me know.
Take care and please

How do you attach an x-box to the yamaha natural sound home theater system dvr s200??

Hi,

You need to use an optical cable to connect your xbox to your home theater system.
This can be done 2 ways

1) You can connect the optical cable directly from the xbox to the home theater system.

2) You can also connect your xbox to your TV by HDMI and then connect your TV by optical cable to your home theater system.

This has the added benefit of all the devices that use your TV being able to use the home theater system in the same way the xbox is using it.

I have rca home theater system rtd215 plays dvds fine but no sound when im watching tv programs i have no cable box just the jacks on my tv [52 projection screen phillips] and i tried hooking them into the...

This reson you are not hearing any "TV AUDIO" through your RCA surround system would be due to your tv sound output not being connected to an audio input into your surround system. You can hear DVDs,CDs and radio possibly mp3 if connected, as these are built in to the amplifier which the speakers connect to.
If the tv has a Line out (via phono plugs) and NOT via headphone out, connect it to an audio input on the RCA surround system. If the RCA has no other available inputs, well....there ain't a lot you can do but watch CSI with the sound from the TV and then Star Wars (for example) through the TV and Surround system.

I have a RCA RTD315W home theater system. Are the speakers suppose to work with regular TV? Or does it just work in DVD mode? If it is suppose to work with the TV do i need a HDMI cord to make it work?
