Use the macro option (action). It has its own window record your action by editing one layer then play that on all layers.

Industrial sewing machine jumps a stitch passing from thich to thin layers (from a double layer to a single) any help?

When sewing from thick to thin layers, it is common for industrial sewing machines to skip stitches or produce uneven stitches. Here are some things you can try to prevent this issue:
  1. Use the right needle: A needle that is too small or too large for the fabric can cause skipped stitches. Make sure you are using the correct needle size and type for the fabric you are working with.
  2. Adjust the presser foot pressure: The pressure of the presser foot can be adjusted on most industrial sewing machines. Decrease the pressure of the presser foot when sewing over thinner layers to help prevent skipped stitches.
  3. Use a walking foot: A walking foot can help prevent skipped stitches when sewing over multiple layers of fabric. The walking foot will help feed the fabric through the machine evenly, preventing skipped stitches.
  4. Adjust the tension: If the tension is too loose or too tight, it can cause skipped stitches. Adjust the tension according to the fabric you are working with.
  5. Use a stabilizer: When sewing over thin fabrics, use a stabilizer to prevent the fabric from puckering and causing skipped stitches.
If none of these solutions work, you may need to take the machine to a professional for further inspection and adjustment.

Remove complicated backgrounds from images using Adobe Photoshop

If you are a Professional user and can afford it I would use the Primatte Chromokey from Digital Anarchy it excels at removing just about any background even from flyway strands of hair.

9dbbf34.jpg

Try the demo version first then decide v3.0 now costs $299 (£198)

If you can't afford it and you have only a two-tone background use either Photoshop's own extract filter on CS2 version that does a good job about 70% removal, you will need to use paths and selections to remove the rest.

OR this method below really does work.

1. Open your image
2. Double Click your background layer.
3. Press Ctrl+Shift+N to make new layer.
4. Fill the new layer with any color you like.
5. Move your 'layer 0' up, so now 'layer 0' is on the top layer
6. Make selection with pen.
7. Press Ctrl+Enter to make selection.
8. Click ad mask layer icon.
9. Ctrl+J to duplicate the layer
10. Click the mask icon.
11. Ctrl+i to invert the mask selection.
12. Click your mask icon on the layer palette.
13. Brush with black.
14. Click your 'layer 0' mask icon.
15. Brush with white to reveal the image.
16. Use shift to Select the two layer.
17. Ctrl+G to group it

Other Masking Plugins for Photoshop

You can also create a fairly decent removal using Extensis Mask Pro it has a great interface and makes short work of any complex masking situation its easier to use than the Primatte Chromokey and is just as good if not better than Procreate Knockout

Whats a dual layer disc mean then?

A dual layer disc is a DVD which is able to hold double the info.( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DVD#Dual-layer_recording )
Dual-layer recording (sometimes also known as double-layer recording) allows DVD-R and DVD+R discs to store significantly more data-up to 8.54 gigabytes per disc, compared with 4.7 gigabytes for single-layer discs. Along with this, DVD-DLs have slower write speeds as compared to ordinary DVDs and when played on a DVD player a slight transition can sometimes be seen between the layers. DVD-R DL was developed for the DVD Forum by Pioneer Corporation; DVD+R DL was developed for the DVD+RW Alliance by Philips and Mitsubishi Kagaku Media (MKM).[23]
A dual-layer disc differs from its usual DVD counterpart by employing a second physical layer within the disc itself. The drive with dual-layer capability accesses the second layer by shining the laser through the first semitransparent layer. In some DVD players, the layer change can exhibit a noticeable pause, up to several seconds.[24] This caused some viewers to worry that their dual-layer discs were damaged or defective, with the end result that studios began listing a standard message explaining the dual-layer pausing effect on all dual-layer disc packaging.
DVD recordable discs supporting this technology are backward-compatible with some existing DVD players and DVD-ROM drives.[23] Many current DVD recorders support dual-layer technology, and the price is now comparable to that of single-layer drives, although the blank media remain more expensive. The recording speeds reached by dual-layer media are still well below those of single-layer media.
There are two modes for dual-layer orientation. With Parallel Track Path (PTP), used on DVD-ROM, both layers start at the inside diameter (ID) and end at the outside diameter (OD) with the lead-out. With Opposite Track Path (OTP), used on many Digital Video Discs, the lower layer starts at the ID and the upper layer starts at the OD, where the other layer ends; they share one lead-in and one lead-out.

Office jet g85

Power on the printer, wait around 15 seconds until the bulb assembly moves a bit to the left and the light goes on, then immediately power off.

Repeat the process around 15 times (or more) until the assembly has moved all the way to the left of the glass, and is located directly beneath the small glass on the left.

Remove the single screw that holds down the small glass.

Carefully remove the grey frame around the small glass.

Carefully remove the small glass.

Using a dry Q-tip, carefully insert it into the slot (to the left of the bulb) and clean the mirror. I found mine was coated with a layer of film, as if grease had accumulated over time.

Put everything back together.

Turn on the printer.

Need to connect both the 3-prong AV adapter *and* the firewire cord. The firewire connect alone does not work, and the 3-prong AV cord alone does not work. But connect both cords to the two devices, and it seems to work. 15 minutes and counting... Hope this helps someone.
