After a few year's use, the display on my 3055 phone has disappeared completely. Apart from this, the phone still works well. Can one get a replacement for the handset?

No, unless you took out an extended guarantee. The display needs replacing or the flat loom wire connections inside can fail.

The display on my phone has disappeared after I touched the phone and got a spark and a mild shock. Cannot readanything nor do I get the name on caller ID.

Something caused a short, which fried your phone. Check your wall outlet to see if it is a 3 prong outlet and properly grounded. You will get a nice shock if the outlet is not properly grounded. Also, make sure your electronics are plugged into a surge protector so your expensive electronic items don't get fried when there are spikes and drops in the electricity flow. APC is a good brand and those squid looking surge protectors are also a good bet.

I have lost my LCD display, the numbers are disappearing from the screen. Is there something I can do to get them back, I love my phone but am not happen without the CID

Check the backup battery in the phone... it may be located on the bottom of the case, or under the reciever cradle.
If there is a power adapter, check that it's connected and it's stil providing power to the phone.

Phone display is gone within a few seconds

Use a registry editor and look for the following string:

HKLM/Drivers/Built-In/RIL>EnableFastDormantDisplayDuringCall
Change value from 1 to 0.
Then soft reset.

If you don't want to use a registry editor, make sure you have Compact Framework .net 3.5 and use Schap's Advanced Config (make sure it is for the HTC Kaiser).

Nokia 2600 time display

I'm a cell phone sales representative and I came across a customer that had a similar problem.

What I found with her, she had so many icons displayed along the top row of the phone that the phone simply did not have room to display the time.

By clearing out her text message inbox, the sent messages, the outbox and being sure all of her voicemails had been checked, a number of the icons disappeared off the top of the screen and so the phone started to display the time again.

So that solve the problem for her. Hopefully it can help you as well.
