Recently when I have turned on my 4805 everything is in black and white. I ran a series of tests by changing the tuner that was attached as well as the rca video cable attached. I have had no luck. Help???
I'm afraid the color wheel is busted and no easy repair as it has to be replaced unless you can get the part and do it yourself which can be difficult, both to obtain the part and to replace it if you have no experience in open-heart surgery. Not really that difficult but if you are clumsy with your hands I suggest you leave it to the experts.

Try brand new cables, but it is likely the segments on your colorwheel have come off and will need to be replaced by a tech. If you tilt the unit from side to side you can probably here the pieces moving inside.
I have a Panasonic DMR EH50 DVD recorder and have just discovered this evening that everything on it is displayed in Black & White (tuner, recordings, menu, dvds etc). Yesterday everything was working in full colour. I have checked all my leads and have no solution to this problem and also need help.
If you have any video at all and it's only Black and white there is a 99.99% chance that your Color Wheel has lost all of it's glass color filters. You can confirm this by removing the lamp. then look straight into the projector where the lamp was and you should see the color wheel of colored glass segments (Red, Green and blue) I believe you won't see them because they came off of the wheel. Also if you lift up the projector and turn it around in various angles and you will hear the small pieces of broken glass from the color wheel. Unfortunately you will need to take it to an authorized service center for repair. Be prepared to spend upwards of $300 for the repair.
Either the color wheel has thrown off all 6 of it's colored glass filters (most likely) and needs to be replaced. Or in the picture menu someone had turned the color all the way down (Less likely).
all tv has built in tuner inside, search for variables for inner tuner.when the signal is not fix naturally it goes black and white or destorted/blurred.
