Hi I too had the same problem, the way I fixed it was to hold the rest button in for 15 secs than release and hold the on button in for 5 secs good luck mate!!!

It worked for me (for the second time). Any ideas why the GPS stops working? It looks as if this is not a very durable piece of equipment.

I have the same problem but resetting does not help. Does anyone have another solution?
Thanks
Hi... my Tom Tom GO 700 also stopped working. I have tried resetting it but to no avail. Is there anything that can be done to get this unit up and running again.
Thanks....Glorico
Our tom tom 710 doesn't seem to charge and hold power from any of the sources(mains, desktop or car). I have tried resetting the TT 710 with paper clip and then switching the unit on and holding the button down for 5 secs. But the on/off button doesn't seem to engage and no power seems to holding in the unit. Anybody any ideas please?
