Old GE Washer WNSR2100T8WW will not pump out water nor spin

I have this old GE washer that will not pump out the water or spin cycle. This happened all of a sudden one day when I was washing clothes and came back and found water still in the tank. It agitates but will not run the spin/pump cycle. I was told to replace the timer switch, which I did, and it does the same thing. I had replaced the pump about 2 years ago. Can someone give me some advice.

Our Kenmore washer is not draining and won't start the spin cycle. I took off the cabinet and looked at the pump and hoses, but they look clear. Perhaps it is an electrical problem? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Well, if your timer switch is good than check the pump for obstructions like piece of clothes or just random garbage, Check this web site also it has all videos on how to fix your washer.http://www.do-it-yourself-washing-machine-and-dryer-repair-help.com/GE-washers.html

Possible your outlet filter is blocked. This requires cleaning depending on your usage. Clean this out and refit. Good luck. Plug off the wall first.

My GE top load washer is about 5 months old. It fills up and runs through the agitation cycle but then stops at the end spin cycle. The clothes just sit in the water. I checked the hose for kinks and...

I have had this problem with two of my previous washers a top loader and front loader. Each time it was a faulty pump that drains the water from the tub after the wash cycle is complete. If the water does not drain from the tub the machine will not go to the spin cycle. Both of my washers were 5 or 6 years old when this occurred. If the washer is only 5 months old it should be under the manufactures warranty. Good Luck.

GE washer will NOT spin, but does all other functions.

You need to have the fan belt checked. It must have been loose or broken.

GE toploader Washing Machine pumping problems

Sounds like the water is syphoning away due to the drain outlet hose being too low..Raise the hose higher, and this should solve the poroblem.

GE Front Loading Washing Machine seems to be holding water....

The high speed spin of a front load washer should normally do a good job of getting squeezing out the water but if there is an oversudsing condition that makes it hard for the drain pump to operate then the suds and water will just stay there. First make sure there is no actual clog in the drain line then run a load with no soap or detergent and see what happens. It's always better to use a low suds detergent with this type of machine
