I have the same problem. I used my E2 for a year and it wokred fine. Then, I did not use it for about 6 months and when I went to charge it up again, it did not charge or turn on. I think there is a light in the on/off button that is supposed to come on when it is charging, but it does not. Tried reset . . . nothing.I have the same problem. Hi Giia:
Have you fixed this problem yet? Most likely it is not your fault. There is a very small bug on E2 Palms which causes this to occur. (very rare). Else yes it could be battery problem.

The Panasonic CN-MW100D is a portable navigation device. If it's not turning on even though power is coming to the unit, it could be caused by a few different things.
First, check that the power cord is securely plugged into both the device and the power source.
Second, check the battery level, if the device has a battery, if the battery is dead, replace the battery or charge it.
Third, check the fuse, if the fuse is blown, replace the fuse.
Fourth, try doing a hard reset by holding down the power button for 10 seconds.
If none of the above steps resolve the issue, then the problem may be with the internal hardware of the device and it may need to be repaired or replaced.
If your RCA RD2052A MP3 player is turning on and off, not playing, and not displaying a volume bar, here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:
Reset the device: Sometimes resetting the MP3 player can solve the issue. To do this, press and hold the power button for at least 10 seconds until the device turns off. Then, release the button and turn on the player again.
Check the battery: Make sure the battery is fully charged and not low on power. If the battery is low, it may cause the player to turn off unexpectedly.
Try a different USB cable: If the device is not charging or connecting to your computer, try using a different USB cable.
Update the firmware: Visit the RCA website and check for any firmware updates for your device. Updating the firmware can sometimes solve any software issues.
Contact customer support: If none of these steps work, you may need to contact customer support for further assistance.
One possible cause is that your battery is low or the battery can no longer hold a (good) charge. In this case, the TomTom is shutting down because there's not enough battery to keep it running, even though it is plugged into a power source.
To determine if the battery is the cause, try to charge the TomTom battery .... using a (USB) connection to your computer, or a direct power source (i.e. while the TomTom is not being used). Let it charge for a few hours until the batter charge indicator shows that it is fully charged (or just leave it charging overnight).
Then, unplug the TomTom from the "charger" and power it up. If the TomTom (battery) doesn't hold a (good) charge, the device will shut down within a few minutes, e.g. 10 mins or much less.
When you (then) plug the device into a power source, and it doesn't stay on (i.e. it keeps shutting down after 10 seconds), you can safely conclude that the battery is the cause of your problem.
Since you didn't mention the brand name, etc, I'm going to give you some basic instructions that hopefully will reset your tablet to at least get it turned on so that you can do a more in-depth troubleshoot.
You're going to have to drain the battery battery first of all, and even though you cannot turn the device on, just leave it be with the battery inserted for 24 to 48 hours. After that, you'll need to plug the tablet into a charger and allow it to charge for a full, normal cycle (4 to 8 hours, depending on your tablet.) After that, try turning the tablet on again.
If that doesn't work, remove the battery from your device for about 10 minutes and while the battery is removed, hold the power button down for 10 seconds. Replace the battery and try to turn the device on.
If the steps above don't work, then the best idea is to take it to a qualified repairperson for diagnosing the issue.
Normaly the lens would go in, as soon as the battery runs low. Perhaps you should wait till you unpluged the camera. Try to charge the battery in the external charger. Then after replacing the battery everything should work fine.
You could try to do a hard reset. Press and hold the power button and the volume up button simultaneously for 10-30 seconds and see if the device will then turn on.
1.Check the device's battery level for at least two bars of strength. 2.If the battery level is low, charge the battery. 3.If the issue is not resolved, remove the back cover. 4.Remove the battery. 5.Wait 10 seconds. 6.Press and hold the W key. 7.While pressing down the W key, re-insert the battery. •The device restarts and after approximately 15 seconds, the 'Recovery' screen appears •Release the power button but *continue holding the home button*, for another 30 seconds. Step Thanks

Sorry, there is no reset button. If the battery is charged and there's music loaded on it, but it won't play, it's probably wrecked. Perhaps try reformatting it as a drive -- it may solve the problem or it may brick it.
I previously had an even cheaper device that used the same chipset, and it just died one day. The battery is still good, and it works as a flash drive, but it refuses to play music. Perhaps your device died in the same way(?)
You can do a hard reset on the phone which will erase everything but you have to know the Master Subsidy Lock code on your device. If you can't turn the device on that will not work though because you have to access the Erase Tool from the menu while the phone is on. Have you every exposed it to any kind of liquid or extreme physical damage? If the device will not charge the battery, it sounds like you have a loose charging port. Take it to the Sprint Service Center and see if they can issue a brand new battery and check to see if there is physical damage to the port.
