It should work out of the box. Silly question - are you sure the wifi is turned on? Can you see a little antenna icon in the upper right hand corner?

I am not really understanding what you mean by "I can get MSN but nothing else". If you can get on that, then you're connected, right?

What site are you trying to go to? If the site isn't mobile compatible, it wont display properly through Internet Explorer, and unfortunately, there aren't updates for IE on these. You can view almost any site with Opera. Download opera mobile on your regular PC, copy the file to the flash card, and install it that way - you don't have to use ActiveSync. Although its a trial, it may be worth buying it after the evaluation period is over if it suits your needs.

Try a soft reset. If that doesn't work, then do a hard reset, it should reset to the factory default. Your last resort is to reinstall the OS.

This problem is common.
This error message occures when the wireless card does not get an IP address from the wireless router. To get the wireless router to issue the wireless with a new IP address the connection needs to be repaired.
Right click on the wireless icon and click on repair.

If could be that you were unable to reset the router properly. You have to make sure that the router is on while pressing and holding the reset button using a paper clip. the reset button is usually found at the back of the router, then you may have to reconfigure the settings again.

you can also manually access the router page for you to change the settings.

Can't set up wireless connection

  1. Check in your system: Click Control Panel, then double click System. On the Hardware tab click Device Manager. Click the (+) sign besides the Network Adapter. See if the Packard bell wireless adaptor is there. If its is not there, right click the Network Adapter and click Scan for hardware changes, and reinstall the network adapter.
  2. If the Packard bell network adapter is already there, click Start and click My Network Places. On the left side of the Network Connection, click View Network Adapter. The wireless network adapter should be there. Right click the wireless network adapter and choose properties. Give check mark on Show icon in notification area when connected (to show you if there is wireless notification), and give check mark to Notify me when this connection has limited or no connectivity (to show if the wireless network is disconnected). and click OK
  3. Turn on the orange broadband livebox. And right click the the wireless network connection (on Network Connection) and choose View Available Wireless Networks. And the click the Orange broadband Livebox to use this wireless Network connection.
I hope this solution is helpful to solve your problems

Best Regards
Blackrobin
