I have changed the pressure sensor switch on my 2001 PT Cruiser (B). to find it you will have to put the car on ramps and go under the car until your under the cross member (right behind the front wheel) it will be just behind the cross member closer to the driver side wheel. remember once you remove the sensor gravity will work against you and power steering fluid will pour out of the sensor hole. and when under a car there is really no place to go and if your not careful you will have to resign yourself to being covered in fluid. good luck!
It is located in the PS high pressure hose. It is called the power steering opressure switch, it signals the computer to raise the idle speed when u turn the steering wheel at low speeds like parking..

Hi,
Beneath the exhaust manifold on the backside of the engine compartment to the right and slightly above the oil filter. you must reach it from beneath the engine by putting your hand up between the CV joint and the frame. it is a pain in the rear to remove because the electrical clip is hard to separate from the sensor. on some models, a special deep socket is needed to unscrew the sensor from the engine block.
