Need restore pc running slow wont acces anything, i need the restore disks how do i get them i hope they are free

Alot of manufactures will include restore disks. If the model above is your model it should have come with them. However if you don't have them anymore you will need to order them from the manufacture either on-line or over the phone. Hope this helps.

    Sorry forgot to add yes they do cost money. I'm guessing somewhere around $25.

Try doing a system restore to a very early point. So if a program you installed was a big size, it will have gone. If you don't want to lose data then you can open Disk Defragmenter or Disk Cleanup. Hope this helps. Get back in touch. Steven :D

My advent 9117 is running very slow, have defraged,and cleard the cach memery but still slow
there is a chance that your pc has a virus or malware on it. most of the time when a computer slows down this is the problem.

I would recommend using avg free internet security. the link to download this is:

When you say slow, is it slow when you are on the internet or slow when accessing or the computer or generally slow like everything is running slow?

Hi

Try this solution.

Restart your computer and press F8 to run on safe mode. After that restart again your computer. Running your computer on safe mode will fix and correct some errors because of faulty installed drivers, multiple drivers installed with same drivers or faulty software installed in your computer.

Also, run disk defragment on your computer by going to start menu, choose accessories, choose system tools, choose disk defragment and after this, restart again and it will run faster other than before.

If still slower, just run the system restore to restore the previous setting of your computer. Go to accessories, choose system tools, choose system restore and choose the date your want to restore.

Hi,

You could try using the system restore in windows. Under start-->acc-->system tools. Select a restore point and restore to that state. Just try to backup your data before doing this. Hope this helps!

Running slow - want to restore factory settings
In some cases, when the laptop first starts booting you'll see an option something like 'Press F11 for system restore'. If your laptop doesn't show this option on boot, the only way to reinstall the operating system is with the installation disks. Alternatively, you could scan your computer for viruses, run a disk defragmentation by opening up the 'My Computer' icon, right clicking on your storage drive and selecting 'Properties'. Once in the properties menu select the 'Tools' tab at the top and run the disk defragmentor. If it doesn't run properly, run the 'Error Checking' utility from the same menu.
Also be sure that your hard drive isn't completely full, as Microsoft operating systems use a part of your free space as paging memory.

Does not seem to be one available,art least not from the website.
Have you tried a restore to the earliest date? There is a contact phone number on theire website. Another option is to purchase an Win Xp disk.
