I think the input is right under one of the legs that swings the cover open. I just looked at mine but can't try it until I get a cord for it. Let me know if that works.

On the top there should be a 3.5 mm hole. This unit should have come with a 3.5mm Male to Male Stereo Audio Cable.{ if you didnt get one you can get one at radio shack pretty cheap} plug one end into your iPod and the other into that top hole.

I have a 8g ipod nano model number a1199 and i got it awhile back and i lost it. recently i found it and forgot the password. is there anyway i could reset the whole ipod... or whatelce could i do?

The latest iPod Nano includes a locking feature, which allow users to set a four-digit combination to keep intruders from using the device. However, if you find that you forget what code you set on your iPod, you will need an alternate way of unlocking your iPod Nano. Once the device has been successfully unlocked, you can continue listening to music on it.

Plug the iPod USB cable into the bottom of the iPod Nano. Plug the other end of the iPod USB cable into a free USB port on a Mac or PC computer. Open the iTunes application by clicking on the Dock icon on a Mac or using the Start menu on a PC. Click on the name of your iPod Nano under the "Devices" list in the iTunes window. Click on the "Sync" button to establish a connection between your iPod and the computer. Click on the eject symbol next to your iPod's name after the syncing process has finished. Unplug your iPod Nano. The device will be unlocked and you will be able to access all normal features again. Hope it helps.

We've got a ipod nano 2nd generation, it automatically installed the drivers when plugged into the usb slot and it comes up on my computer shown with the other hard disk drives but nothing is working in...

The best thing to do is to leave your IPOD connected and restart your system, this way it would boot up with your system.
Note that some ipods prevent some systems from passing through the main start-up screen. If you experience this, unplug your ipod and restart without it being plugged.
It is also possible that you might have purchased a pirated or china ipod and is not compatible with itunes. You can try opening it as an external device from my computer and copy your song files there. If it detects them when you disconnect, then you have purchased a fake ipod.
Hope this solution was helpful? Please comment for more information and thank you for using the fixya website.

Itunes not recognising ny ipod

Look inside the slot that you plug in your iPod, is there an orange piece of paper? If there isn't, then your iPod might have been damaged from something (such as water getting inside) which may prevent it from being recognized by your USB slot. Every Apple product does this and it voids the warranty I believe.

If there is an orange piece of paper visible, try going into "my computer" to be sure it's being recognized by your computer as a whole. If it says "_____'s iPod" then it can recognize it and it is iTunes that is causing the problems. Try a reinstallation and replugging your iPod in and out a few times.

Simply plug it to your computer since whenever its plugged to any usb slot of a computer it automatically charges the iPod. Windows works perfectly with iPod but you have to install iTunes software to enable one to transfer music to & from the iPod.

My Dad has a brand new iMac,a brand new iPod Touch but iTunes is not recognizing the iPod Touch he then tried it on a laptop and it found it right away

Make sure you don't plug it on the USB slot in the keyboard. Plug the USB cable on any USB slot at the back of the iMac.

I got a new 4th generation ipod nano for my birthday yesterday and it worked up until i toke it of charge, as i did the whole thing reset and i lost everything yet te ipod still said i had no memory left....

it may not have completed the update to your ipod.

try going here, http://www.apple.com/itunes/ it will have the latest drivers for your ipod too, once it has loaded successfully onto your mac then plug the ipod back in. itunes will automatically open up, and once it has recognised your ipod reset it yourself in the ipod settings, then reload your music etc from the itunes library. If you have not created one yet then just copy your stuff over to itunes and then sync your ipod with the library. What until itunes tells you that the update is complete before you remove it from the computer. Once it is completed then right click your ipod and click on eject.
I hope this helps

Question about sirius radio for kenwood cd player

You can try it, but I think you might need a media expander/controller. I see some going for around $100 on Ebay. It allows you to add and interface many component to your deck. But make sure the deck ready to control it. You can tell by the label on the deck(Ipod ready, XM ready, Sirius ready, Changer ready....ect). Goodluck.

On the top around the back you will see a hole that states "input" this is a 3.5 hole for your male to male jack. http://www.cobyusa.com/_en/prod_item.php?item=CSMP37&pcat=homeaudio&pscat=speaker_system&pscat2=#
