Hey guys, I have a 2007 H-D XL883C and I am having a little issue with my Fuel Injection light on my HUD. Normally, when I turn the bike on I will hear a slight whoosh noise of fuel feeding in, and I will see a yellow indicator while it is feeding which dissapears after a few seconds so that I know to turn the bike on. Recently, this symbol has stopped turning on, and the length of time that fuel feeds in is shorter. The bike still runs fine, and I cannot tell anything is wrong other than the symbol doesn't pop up anymore when I turn on the bike...should I be concerned? Any idea's as to why this is happening?

For a quick check of speedometer function, a "WOW"
test can be performed. Press and hold odometer reset
switch then turn ignition switch ON. Release reset
switch. Background lighting should illuminate,
speedometer needle should sweep its full range
of motion, and indicator lamps (sixth gear, check engine,
low fuel, battery and security) should illuminate. The
sixth gear indicator lamp will illuminate even though it is
not used in normal vehicle operations. The security lamp
may illuminate even if the vehicle is not equipped with a
security system.

SOURCE: Just bought a 2007 Honda Shadow VT 600 and had

Most Modern bikes have a safety feature where vacuum from the running engine keeps the fuel flowing through the shutoff valve. If you look closely, there may not even be an "off" position. Most I have seen will have the "on", "reserve" and "prime" settings. You would need to put the lever in the "prime:" setting to initially start the bike. This lets fuel flow to the carburetors bowls, bypassing the safety of the normal "on" position. Once the bike starts in this position, you should be able to switch back to the normal "on" position and have the bike stay running. You will not have to change this position after that unless you leave the bike sitting long enough to evaporate some fuel out of the bowls, or you run low enough to need the reserve. Under normal conditions, the fact that the bike is not running will automatically shut off the valve.

Hope this helps!

Hi and welcome to FixYa!

Looks like the ignition coil is worn out. It starts good on cold for the ignition coil is not forced yet and when the engine is warm it fails to start for the coil is hot. I believe that once the ignition coil is replaced you'll be good.

Hope this helps and thank you for using Fixya! Have a good one!

Does the 2007 Honda ANF 125 Innova have a carburettor or fuel injection?

2007 is the crossover year. The model ANF 125-7 is the first injected bike in Europe and was built for the 2007 model year but some 125-6 bikes may have been registered in 2007 and they will still be carb bikes.
If the bike has slatted grills over the air vents on either side above the front of the engine, it is an ANF 125-7 or later Injection model. If it just has triangular shaped air duct holes, it is an ANF 125-6 or earlier carb model.

F 1 light comes on once in a while

That light is actually an Fi light, meaning Fuel Injection. You need to book your bike in to a mechanic and have them put it on a diagnostic, so they can scan the code for the fuel injection system and any other codes.

My 2007 gsxr 750 f1 light came on and now the bike will not start has low injector pulse but good spark

The F1 light is really Fi, Fuel Injection. The fuel injection sensors have detected a problem in the system. Major problems will not let the bike start. You will need to get the bike to a dealer so they can hook up a code reader. The reader will pin point what the problem is. Once you know the source of the problem you can then decide if you can fix it or if it is time for the dealer to service the bike. Please rate my answer. Thanks!

F-I is fuel injection system telling you to clean air-filter,fuel-filter and clean the fuel injector system. This is a good start.

The red light is on, and where the temp shows, it flashes "F1" or "FI". What does this mean?

hey mate, i had the same trouble with my bike came up red light with FI it ended up being the charging circuit and i had to replace the regulator/rectifier to fix it...
Im guessing the FI stands for fuel injection and there is not enough charge for it to run the fuel injection system...

could be the same problem with your bike, easiest way to check is to run a multi meter that is set to volts dc over the + & - on the battery and see what its got then start the bike and it should go fluctuate between 13.0v and 13.5v...

If it just stays on 12v and drops slowly it is not charging the battery!

Brad:)

The fi light comes on then off like it works but it loudup with gas

Okay. The bike loads up with gas. That is a problem with the fuel injection system. That is also what the FI (Fuel Injection) light is trying to tell you. The bike needs to go to a dealer to have them read the computer codes so you can find out what the computer controlled Fuel Injection system senses is wrong.

F1 light on came on . what does this mean ?

FI means Fuel Injection. The computer chip that controls the fuel injection system on your bike has detected a problem. It could be major or minor. You will need to take the bike to a dealer and have them read the codes to find out exactly what the problem(s) is.
