The phone needs to be network unlocked from apple server to use it with any sim card worldwide. You need to pay for this either at local shop or online webstore.

did you take it to your cellular provider for repair? If not then try that, If so then you may want to take it to the next level and send the phone to Nokia. But in the mean time, See about getting a different phone either from Ebay or from the carrier, If it is AT&T then you can get a prepaid phone and just put your sim card in it and use it, Sorry for your trouble, Hope this helped.
you cant use a sim card of a network onto another network, it cant hapen. unless you are saying your phone is locked to one network and it cant be used on another sim?
if it cant auto find the network, go to the settings, do it manually and then look for network menu, all the found networks will appear in the list, choose yours and press ok, if still no connection then there is a sim card fault or the phones reciever is faulty.
