Screen problems From one day to another the screen of my Zen Vision M just changed. From being having normal brightness it has now become extremely bright and blurred and I tried changing the setting of the brightness, but the problem persists. Any ideas what the problem may be, and how to solve them?

There are three reasons. The LCD got damaged, change it. The connectors got loose/disconnected due to fall, have them fixed again and the display IC got damaged (hope not) as no one can repair it. The phone is scrapped if the IC goes.

Creative Zen Vision M frozen on the start up screen

Hey guys, I've had the same problem for over 2 years. Guess what? I fixed it today!! It is indeed a hard drive issue. I recommend following a guide to disassemble your zen. (Remember, this is only if you dont have any other choice) When you disconnect your hard drive, plug it right back in there pushing hard on it to make sure it is connected completely. IF that does not work, this is the final resort.

I did this and it worked. Normally you arent supposed to ever do this to any kind of hard drive. But why not? since it is already broken. lightlyish hit it a few times, and take the end of a screw driver and stick it in the hole on the end of the hd and pry it loose a tad. you arent trying to pop it open, just givve it a little breathing room. Worked for me, normally it shouldnt. But no one seems to be sharing anything so hopefully this helps someone some time in the future.

ZEN VISION W LCD screen broken

It does not worth it. It's better you change its LCD.
It's original LCD is Samsung LTG430WQ-F02. But it is hard to find at cheap price.
But you can also change it with Sharp LCD screen which is spare part for the Playstation Portable (PSP 1000).
I bought one from ebay for 15 USD , replace, It is working great.
Search in ebay : "sharp lcd psp 1000"

Problem with my Creative Labs ZEN Vision M screen.

Probably a hardware issue - replace the player

BUT
you can try the soft fixes:

Reset the player
Update the firmware
try this:
I stumbled on a knowledge base on the Creative web-site after I had registered the player; maybe this was not available to me previously.
This player has a Reset button sunk into the base. It needs a prod with the end of a paper clip during the boot up. The resultant Recovery menu gives the option to Format the disc which I've done and successfully loaded my music back again. It is now playing very nicely and hopefully will continue to do so.

I hope this info will help others with the same problem. I t appears that the music files can become corrupted very easily.

My screens backlight wont stop flickering

Not really, the screen flickering is due to a faulty circuit inside of the Mp3 player. If you have another one, you might be able to swap out the screen circuits, adn fix it, but this is very difficult.

well you could try reseting it if you havent elready and if you have well...i have the same problem two so maybe creative labs is screwing us over.

Zen Vision:M will not power on

The adapter may have caused some damage to the internals and replacing the board would probably fix the problem. However, replacing the mother board is not a trivial procedure. You may have to send the unit in for service.
