Hi, I just wanted to know where I would find the outlet for a microphone on the Dell Dim. 3000 tower - thanks very much

Where does the Microphone plug in to the Dell Vostro200

Depending on the chassis-style of your Vostro 200 (Slim-line or Tower), you may have one or more options for installing a microphone.
See below for instructions:
A. Slim-Line Model
There are two locations on this model (by default).

Front: You have the power button, then 2 x USB ports, 1 x Headphone jack-out, and 1 x Microphone jack-in.

Rear: There is a block of six audio connectors, looking only at the bottom 3 (red, green & blue).
Red = Microphone jack-in Green = Speaker/Audio jack-out Blue = Audio jack-in

B. Tower Model
There is one location on this model (by default):

Try unplugging your video card and re-seating it. Sometimes, when they are cleaned, the card gets bumped and isn't quite seated right. If that doesn't work, try doing the same thing with your memory sticks.

I a Dell DIM 3000, P4,2.8GHZ, 533, 1MB my I have

If your printer driver is installed in your computer you can see your printer icon in startmenu->controlpanel->printer and faxes.
You can also check it in device manager for that right click on my computer icon then click on property then hardware ->device manager.Then you can see all driver list.
If you need driver for dell 720 printer you can download it from below link.
click here

select your model and download driver for your operating system then install in your computer.
Then connect your printer with usb cable into computer's usb port then you can print.
If you have another printer please provide me printer model info.

My screen is dim. What causes this?

Most likely your settings.

In most cases, the LCD is dim when not plugged into an outlet to save energy. (It can make the laptop stay on an hour longer in some cases)

If you want to brighten the screen, and kill your battery time in the process, hold down the FN (function key) and press the button with a picture of a sun and a arrow pointing up. (both pictures should be light blue on your keys)

If you don't mind the dimness of your LCD, leave it alone. The brightness will return when you plug your laptop into an outlet.

How do I connect a mike headset to a Dell Dimension 3000?

Does your headset have two plugs? One will plug into the mic jack that would be your Microphone. The ear part plugs into your sound out or speaker out.

You can replace it with a 500 watt if you want to. 300 watt is a good watt. But if I could make a recommendation I would say go to the 450 just incase you ever want to upgrade your video card or anything like that. IF this helped please rate
