Per HP: After installing a new print cartridge, a message appears on the front panel that the print cartridge is low on ink. This may be caused by installing the cartridges with the power turned off. Cartridges should always be installed with the power turned on.

1. Open the lid and allow the cartridges to slide over for access.
2. Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.

Yes, all HP Deskjet printer models feature a 'single cartridge print mode'. Just remove the cartridge you don't wish to print with; the printer will automatically revert into either greyscale printing (if color cartridge remains installed) or black only printing (if the black cartridge remains installed). How old is your cartridge,it could need to be changed.

The printer might be working but the cartridge is not connected properly. Just open your printer, remove the cartridge and replace it back in its right position.

i think the new black ink is damage try another or go to the seller

might have to clean off cartridge contacts and those on cartridge carrier. Use isopropyl alcohol(don't touch nozzles)! and wipe clean.

The nozzles of the color cartridge is blocked or u have set the photo print to gray print
