Print head problems 7 yellow lights 1 green light, how do I fix
I have a canon i850 printer that has 7 yellow lights then a green light. What can I do to fix the problem with the print head and clear the yellow lights?
Re: Print head problems 7 yellow lights 1 green light,...
That's not a printhead problem, it's saying that the waste ink absorber is full. You need to have them replaced at a shop where they can also reset the waste ink counter.

Hi there
This is only a try it may do it but I not know,
Start with the printer OFF
1. Hold down RESUME and then hold down POWER 2. Release RESUME 3. Press RESUME twice, then release POWER 4. Let green light blink until printer is done futzing
Select function with RESUME press POWER to execute: presses - light color - function
Number of presses - light color - function 0 presses - green - Test print (or exit service mode on i850) 1 press - orange - EEPROM info print (plus grid nozzle diagnostic on i960) 2 presses - green - EEPROM initialize 3 presses - orange - Reset waste ink counter

hi welcome to fixya!
I believe there is no print head failure happening. I experience that one time, it only needs a new ink cartridge. Be sure to replace the right color!
have a nice day!
That's a shop repair, 7 yellows means the ink absorbers are full and need to be changed before ink leaks all over. After changing you need to enter service mode and reset the counter to clear the error..
