That's not a printhead problem, it's saying that the waste ink absorber is full. You need to have them replaced at a shop where they can also reset the waste ink counter.

Canon i850 light is green then flashes orange 7 times then goes green and repeats orange flashing. Printer never gets ready

This is a very bad error. It means that the printhead needs servicing and may need to be repaired. There is no easy fix. Sorry.

Canon i850 not printing

7 times means your waste ink absorber is full, time to let a shop replace the absorbers and reset the counter to clear the error.

7 yellow flashes not printing

hi welcome to fixya!
I believe there is no print head failure happening. I experience that one time, it only needs a new ink cartridge. Be sure to replace the right color!

I850 printer has 7 yellow lights and 1 green light, how do I fix this?

That's a shop repair, 7 yellows means the ink absorbers are full and need to be changed before ink leaks all over. After changing you need to enter service mode and reset the counter to clear the error..

Canoni850

Go to the Canon Web site http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&tabact=SupportDetailTabAct&fcategoryid=232&modelid=8047 (may have to copy and paste into browser. I believe it is either a Print head (7 flashes) which will require repair/replacement of print head - or - a waste ink error that requires a reset. There are other posts on this site that explain how to get the printer into service mode to reset.
