Unit not getting power

The unit (Whirlpool Model MH2155XP) is not getting any power - circuit breaker is ok and there is power to the outlet. Light won't come on inside unit and range lite and fan will not operate. Is there a fuse somewhere inside the unit that could have blown? The unit is 3 years old.

These machines seem prone to having a bad magnetron. Look for a circuit breaker near the power cord entry point. If tripped, reset and try to heat a cup of water. If it makes a loud buzz and then pops the breaker again, the consensus view is a bad magnetron. This is one repair that is recommended to send out. (~$150). You need to evaluate the probable cost vs a new machine.

Tripping circuit breaker

That unit shows that it takes 15 or 20 AMPS to run. What is the breaker amperage on the circuit where it is plugged in? Is the breaker a GFCI? You can tell by looking for the two buttons on the circuit breaker or the outlet.

Loss of power to Whirlpool over the stove AccuWave GH5184XPS-4. Checked circuit breaker and GFI -all OK. No other electrical problems known.

Remove unit and check trip/reset switch on unit. Double check GFCI receptacle with plug tester with GFCI test button.

Does the rf375pxdw whirlpool range have a fuse or reset button? burners and oven does not work. there is power from the 220 plug into the range and the clock operates but not the 220. I checked circuit...

No reset buttons or fuses. Find the circuit breakers for the unit, it should be a double breaker with at least 40 Amp rating. Push it to the off position HARD (make sure not to pull the breaker out of the panel doing that). Turn it back on. Check voltage in the range power outlet. It should measure 220-250 Volts between the right and left connectors, and 110-125 Volts between the center and each side connectors. If not - problem is in the wiring or breaker. If you get those voltages and the range is still not working - problem is in the range itself. Check for shorted and loose wires.

My microwave just quit workin. It has absolutely no power.

Make sure breaker isnt tripped. If breaker isnt tripped just for the sake of knowing plug a fan or something you know that works in the outlet. If it works, you have probably blown fuses in the microwave you'll have to take microwave apart to get to them.

Microwave won't turn on. Seems like it is not getting power. I checked breaker. I am looking for a fuse. You know where one is? It is a GE Spacemaker(2 yrs old) model # JVM1440WH04

  • Make sure that the microwave is plugged into a grounded outlet. It must be a 3-prong outlet.
  • Make sure the clock is set.
  • Check to see if a programming sequence was entered. Sometimes improper programming or a program sequence such as delay start can cause the touch panel to be non-responsive. Unplug microwave or turn off house circuit breaker for 30 seconds. Plug back in, or reset circuit breaker, and try reprogramming unit.
  • Check the house circuit breaker or fuse box. If the microwave is DEAD and there is no display and nothing works- the problem could be a blown fuse or tripped breaker.

Spacesaver powers off 2 seconds after resetting clock and time...

The clue is that you have to reset the clock. You are losing power somehow. the Main Board thinks it is being unplugged and it resets the clock and you have to start all over. The fact that after so many times it will finally work tells me that whatever bad connection you have is finally getting hot enough to expand and make a good enough connection to keep working. Intermittant connections are the worse to find. A lot of trial and error to find the problem. can be bad fuse and fuse holder ( in the unit), bad outlet, loose wire at circuit breaker, loose wire at outlet. Even a loose breaker where it snaps onto the buss bar in the Breaker Box. Etc, it an really drive you nuts trying to find it. Try the unit in a totally different area making sure it is on a compleately different circuit breaker and see what it does, if the problem follows the unit, the problems is in the unit. If not, electrical problems, outlet, breaker, panel,

Power

Sounds like the door switches are out of adjustment or broken. There is only one main fuse, so if you have a display, it must be OK. Could also be a failure in the high power that runs the magnatron plus the lamp.
I would take it to a shop for repair. Microwaves are almost always repaired affordably unless it is really old.
Hope ya fix it!
