Shure pg4/pg58 wireless handheld mic system goes in and out
It's nearly impossible to troubleshoot dropouts in a forum. Shure has some great troubleshooting hints at: www.shure.com/faq. Beyond that, call Shure at 800-516-2525 and they can help you troubleshoot over the phone.

Make sure the microphone and the receiver are still broadcasting/receiving on the same channel.
Check that all of the appropriate connections are right from the receiver to the mixing board are connected as well.
I hope this helps!

SOURCE: Is the frequency used by
It depends on the specific frequency that you have. Some of the UT systems operated between 698 and 806 MHz, and they are now illegal.
Other UT systems operated below 698 MHz and those are still legal to use.
Look at the frequency that is on the sticker on the back or bottom of the receiver or the sticker that is in the battery compartment of the microphone.

Unfortunately, there are many, many things that can cause a unit to be non-functional. Try calling Shure to get it repaired, or call Delta Audio at 773-764-3634. Delta Audio also repairs older Shure equipment.
