Every time I coast/idle while driving down the road, a high pitched noise (like a hot tea kettle)occurs. it seems to be coming from the top right section of the engine compartment, near the brake fluid container.

Hey- I have the exact same problem with my Z4 although its a 06 as opposed to an 04. I took it to the shop and was told it was break dust covering the break sensors. They removed my rear calipers and rotors, cleaned and greased the brakes. So far I havent had the sound again. Doesnt it feel so weird to be driving around with the top down on a nice day then slow down at a red light and be accosted with such a horrible sound like that? It drove me absolutely nuts. It went from a light sound only when I was barely accelerating (like trying to find a parking spot) to a bit of a scratchy metal sound which is why I think the problem may apply to you as well.
On a side note, I am also told by a friend of mine who is also a bimmer guy that it might be due to the brake pads vibrating back and forth inside the brake caliper. He suggests checking out a $2 investment in a product called Plastilube which will stop the noise. I did a quick search and you can purchase it by going to:

The fat one was actually split , causing my engine to idle bad , so i replaced the part , engine idle is fine but now i gt that noise , and i get air suction when i take oil dipstick out while engine is running , so i am guessing something is not right but dk what

If you wish to go high-tech, you may look into an automotive stethoscope. On the other hand, a standard cardboard tube will work great for this. What you will be doing is looking for bearing noises. There are a few places under the hood I can think of that could be having issues. Listen to the fan belts, any pulley bearings, the water pump, the alternator, the very front of the engine, the very back of the engine, and all along the transmission, the power steering (Both pump and receiver), and the brake pedal booster. May also check the starter, the wiper motor, etc. After doing that, you may wish to take a flashlight, and look up under your dash. I've found the cardboard tube extremely effective in diagnosing strange whinings.
