Re: "Safety off" on the screen.
99% of these in dash dvd players have this safety feature to prevent you from watching the dvd movie while driving down the road. There is a wire thats supposed to be hooked up to the parking brake, that way the video only works while the parking brake is on. With MOST of these units, you can bypass this annoyance by grounding the wire thats supposed to go to the parking brake switch..
(instead of hooking the wire to the switch hook it to a ground wire)
FYI it is against u.s. federal law for the driver of a vehicle to watch a motion picture while driving down the road.. but that doesent stop most of us lol...
Very funny, somebody spoke of breaking the law. What about all the thousands and thousands and thousands of people that are using XBMC, Kodi, Jarvis and watching excellent quality bootleg content. Or how about the fact that quite a few teenagers get their learner's permit but hardly ever have a licensed driver sitting next to them while driving LOL. How about underage drinking, and fake College ID's. We could go on and on and on. So to even bother mentioning that a law is being broken is so hilariously trivial. Anybody that's looking to do something like this is well aware of the consequences. Anyone who says otherwise is full of baloney LOL even if it's Oscar Myers. Almost forgot one of my favorites, driving above the posted speed limit. Everyone and their grandma has done this multiple times easily.

Clarion has a brake safety wire that has to switch from open to a ground every time you turn on the unit so therefore you cannot just ground the brake wire it has to switch to ground every time you turn on the radio
To answer your question: Just like the message says on the screen. DVD playing while driving is disabled on all current "Dash-Mounted" DVD Navigation systems. It is a safety requirement that was mandated by most States' Department of Transportation. The goal was to inhibit drivers from being distracted with DVD movies being played on the Navigation system while the vehicle is in motion.
You will notice this feature kick in if you have the vehicle running, and in park; then place it in gear and you will see the video stop and display the safety message while the audio keeps playing.
A lot of the video screen units are on a lock down mode unless the parking brake is set on your car as a safety feature to make sure you are not watching while driving, there are ways to bi-pass this safety feature but do know it is illegal in some states. Trying YouTube for a way to bi-pass your safety feature sometimes its a lot easier than you would think.
you need to do a safety bypass to the ebrake sensing wire (this is a safety feature to prevent accidents) Remove the wire fromt he Remote slot(blue wire) and put it in the blank hole in the plug provided with your stereo... now ground the wire you have now bypassed the safety protocal and enabled video while moving a google search for pioneet avic bypass will yeild vidoes or a youtube search for a video tutorial
there is a setting on your dvd player which you will have to turn off.the dvd player is set by the factory to not display the screen when the ignition is on for safety reasons but can be easily turned off in the settings menu
there is a safety brake wire that needs to be hooked up. If it was installed professionally, have them explain it to you. There is not supposed to be any video players in view of the driver while in motion. Stop your car and put on the parking brake. If you installed it yourself, you probably didnt hook up the wire. Look inthe install manual for DVD safety wire.
well if u haven't fixed it yet this is what u do. now that u have the toggle switch and that blue screen is gone ,now u put that code in . u put a dvd in when it starts u press stop twice on the remote then press1264 . as soon as u put in that last number a menu will appear on the screen that says
