My dvd does not display the videos to me, puts in the screen ?safety off?
99% of these in dash dvd players have this safety feature to prevent you from watching the dvd movie while driving down the road. There is a wire thats supposed to be hooked up to the parking brake, that way the video only works while the parking brake is on. With MOST of these units, you can bypass this annoyance by grounding the wire thats supposed to go to the parking brake switch.. (instead of hooking the wire to the switch hook it to a ground wire) FYI it is against u.s. federal law for the driver of a vehicle to watch a motion picture while driving down the road.. but that doesent stop most of us lol... -ampman

Very funny, somebody spoke of breaking the law. What about all the thousands and thousands and thousands of people that are using XBMC, Kodi, Jarvis and watching excellent quality bootleg content. Or how about the fact that quite a few teenagers get their learner's permit but hardly ever have a licensed driver sitting next to them while driving LOL. How about underage drinking, and fake College ID's. We could go on and on and on. So to even bother mentioning that a law is being broken is so hilariously trivial. Anybody that's looking to do something like this is well aware of the consequences. Anyone who says otherwise is full of baloney LOL even if it's Oscar Myers. Almost forgot one of my favorites, driving above the posted speed limit. Everyone and their grandma has done this multiple times easily.
