You do not have the sufficiant driver software to run the disc because windows vista is too new for older versions of cd-rom software. This is a common problem. You need to install the latest driver software for it to work. Trust me. Good Luck!

I'm trying to run my Hypertech ECON programmer for my 2010 Silverado, when I install the disk it gives me a error code 2869 and exits me out of the install. Am running WIndows 7

It seems that Windows 7 is not compatible with this program and thus the error 2869.
1.run the program in the Program Compatibility Assistant utility in Windows 7.
then select the caption that says it ran on a previous Operating system ( that is Windows XP/ Vista etc. and select the radio dial to the left and click apply.
Instruction from Windows help:
Run the Program Compatibility troubleshooter
Click to open the Program Compatibility troubleshooter.

Follow the instructions in the troubleshooter.

If you cannot install a program, insert the installation disc for the program and, using the troubleshooter, browse to the program's setup file, usually called Setup.exe, Install.exe, or something similar. The troubleshooter is not designed to work on programs that have an .msi file name extension.

iLO Mp3 Player
"Flash Error"
1. Connect the player to the PC using the USB cable. 2. Open Windows Media Player. 3. Go to the Sync or Devices tab and delete all content from the player. 4. Go to the Tools menu and select Options. 5. Select the Devices tab, highlight the ILO or Siren player and click on Properties. 6. Uncheck the box "Create Folder Hierarchy on Device" ---- "Firmware Upgrade" (provided by jwmgotee):
I just repaired/reformatted my 1.0 GB Ilo following the instructions below with no problems:
Please connect the player to a rear USB port on the computer. The display should show “USB Connectedâ€
Ā. (If not, please press the power button.) Please make sure that all unused programs and applications are closed. You can close the applications by closing as many of the icons in the lower right hand corner (by the clock) as possible. Download the correct Firmware Click here (https://system.netsuite.com/core/media/media.nl?id=16076&c=432868&h=b25618a8ea7ead5c9573&_xt=.zip) to download the ILO 116 Firmware Click Open to initiate the download Double click on the ILO or Siren folder icon. There will be 14 icons. There will be a Setup icon that looks like a box with a blue line on it; please double click on this. Then click Run - this will open the Install Wizard. The Install Wizard has the instructions on the screen as you go through it. Once the firmware has installed, please click the Start menu, then Programs. Look for the icon that says ILO or Siren, and then double click the Firmware Update to install to the player. Depending on how severe the corruption to the firmware on the player is, you might have to do this step 2 or 3 times in order for it to completely repair the firmware. It will now search for the ilo. This may take a while depending on how corrupted the firmware is, so be patient.
After it has found the ilo, it will say, "A device has been detected in recovery mode and is being initialized. Please wait."
The ilo should come back to life and start showing it's glorious "USB Connected" screen.
The "Firmware Update" window should appear. Select "Format Data Area" to rid the player of corrupted firmware data. And click "Start".
It can take anywhere from 2 to 4 minutes to re-flash the ilo and the program might appear to have locked up, but it hasn't. So don't close the program or disconnect the ilo!
If the program fails to find the ilo and gives you an error like, "Device Timeout" or something similar, you need to reinstall the ilo drivers. This can be done by inserting the ilo cable into a USB port it has never been plugged into before. Or you can reinstall the drivers by reinstalling the Rave-MP program. (Remove it, restart the computer, and then install it again).
Although, plugging it into a new USB port is the fastest and easiest option.
If your player won't even turn on, follow these instructions first and then those above:
First, remove the battery. While this isn't necessary to get the player into recovery mode, it insures the unit will not power on before the cable is inserted.
On the ilo, hold the "Power" button down while inserting the USB cable. Continue holding the power button down for 5 seconds more after the cable is inserted. The backlight on the ilo will remain off during this time, making the screen appear to be blank.
An hourglass should appear on your computer and Windows should say,
"Found new Hardware 'SMTP3500".

MY windows media player, will not recongize my ilo mp3 player, it did in the past now all of a sudden it will not let me sync songs on it. please help me!

why bother. is it a removable drive, does windows see it as a removable disc. if so, open it and just put them on that. i have some cheap mp3 players, ideal for my car cd player with a input. windows media player would not see those as well. windows media player is great, but i would not burn a disc with it instead use another program.
for copying cds use cdex or some other program, there are plenty out there. also as a player its good, but there are better. and trying to get it to sync, forget it. windows sync with an alien device. windows cannot even work properly as it is and now they got vista.
so try something else, for players just look around. as i said there are loads out there, pick one you can work with instead of windows media player.
some are better

I am trying to install Resume Workshop on my new computer and it has Vista operating system

Most programs written for Windows XP also work in this version of Windows, but some older programs might run poorly or not at all. If a program written for an earlier version of Windows doesn't run correctly, use the Program Compatibility Wizard to change the compatibility settings for the program. To change settings for a program manually, use the individual program's Compatibility tab.
If changing the settings does not fix the problem, go to the program manufacturer's website to see if there is an update for the program.

How to Run the Program Compatibility Wizard 1. Open the Program Compatibility Wizard by clicking the Start button getopencontent.aspx?assetid=4f6cbd09-148c-4dd8-b1f2-48f232a2fd33&documentset=en-us&renderkey=xml, clicking Control Panel, clicking Programs, and then clicking Use an older program with this version of Windows.
2. Follow the instructions in the wizard.

If you cannot install a program, insert the installation disc for the program and, using the wizard, browse to the program's setup file, usually called Setup.exe, Install.exe, or something similar. The wizard is not designed to work on programs that have an .msi file name extension.
To change compatibility settings manually for a program, right-click the icon for the program, click Properties, and then click the Compatibility tab.

My installation disk won't run

i have windows xp and was told that i didn't need the disc for it. it's the cord/cable not communitcating with the mp3 player that's my problem. they told me to try different usb ports on the back of the computer, and it still didn't work. so she said to try it on another computer, but that's a bit redundant, i want it to work on mine.

I also have windows vista. I inserted the disc that came along with the ilo mp3 player and it accepted and recognizes the player. My husband and I bought it for our daughter for Christmas and she loves it. I would suggest uninstalling the program from the disc then reinstalling it. It took the 1st time for us when we downloaded. I hope this help's you out.
