The degasuss circuit is staying on. There is a coil of wire wrapped around the picture tube. Uplug it. The picture may or may not remain in proper color. Take it in for repair to be safe.

My Samsun tv is having problems. It is 57 inch and

Sounds like it's the color wheel. The color wheel is responsible for colorization on your DLP. If that color wheel fails, you'll get funny and funky colors on the TV. You'll also hear a winding sound or a whirring sound. Not all cases you'll hear sounds from the thing, but those are the tell-tale signs that the color wheel is out, or going out.

Rainbow colours on the screen

The projector is starting to go out in it. Depending on your financial situation, you can take it to a shop to have it looked at, or replace the TV. Depending on how long this has been happening, the Pioneer projectors usually last about 100 hours once this happens before they burn out completely.

Drive will not boot up, but makes funny repetitious noise instead.

Usually when the drive makes a weird sound it means it's going out .If you can try plugging it into another device and see if it does the same thing . Good Luck

All three lights turn on like normal and then nothing

Depending on the pitch. humming noises are either a motor ie: fan motor or if it is very low a defective capacitor . Since you have the yellow band and the high pitched beep my fist thought is somthing defective in the power supply. Take it to an authorized servicer.

Samsung DLP HDTV wide screen

Sounds like the colorwheel (used in DLP projection sets with a single DLP panel) is going bad, either the wheel itself or the bearings on the motor driving the wheel are starting to fail. I would recommend getting a professional to service the TV set.

SOUND NO PICTURE ONLY RAINBOW

I just fixed this problem on my neighbor TV. I don't have a manual or schematic, and didn't pay any attention to the reference designators, so I will just have to describe it. The problem was a bad solder joint. Visible thermal fatigue. Looking at the main board, (didn't even need to slide the cassis out). There is a small, narrow, vertical board in the center, adjacent to the yoke connectors with a funny looking little transformer on the very top. Check the connections on that.
