Did you save the data to your hard drive? If it was properly downloaded, it will be there. You will have to look for it.

This is why pros use a card reader for downloading. On my Mac, I right-click on the icon that holds my pictures and choose "eject -------" and when the icon disappears, I can unplug. Here's what I would try now in your situation: remove the card and battery...press every button...leave it alone for 20 minutes...insert the card and battery...turn it on. Plug it back into your Mac and see if the icon appears. Use my method for unplugging and if everything is successful, run out and buy a card reader to use from now on.

Are you trying to downloading pictures to your computer? Try resetting your router for 5 minutes. To do this unplug the power cord from your router and leave it unplugged for 5 whole minutes. then plug in your router. Restart your computer and connect online. Try to download images then.

Blinking light means your computer still in process reading your data from memory card. Higher capacity of memory card would make the computer need longer time to read it. Just be patient and don't unplug the USB cable.
If you think its too long, then you can unplug the cable data, put off the memory card and open in via card reader so you can download your pictures to PC.

You can download drivers and software from brother website.

Download driver first.

Unplug printer usb before installing driver software, and start installation with printer usb cable unplugged.

To start do the following:

Unplug printer USB, unplug power from pc and also remove the battery if it is a laptop, and restart printer and PC.
With printer still unplugged go to control panel>>printers and empty the printer cue.
Test a replacement USB cable and try plugging the printer on a different USB port.

If the above did not work , then reinstall the printer software using the printer CD. Unplug the printer and start software installation with printer USB unplugged.

A web page will open, follow instructions, select model, select operative system etc., and click on download .
Chose to download the file in my documents when asked.
After downloading, find the file,double click on the file ,then if you get in troubles, follow the instructions below to reset and reinstall drivers:

• Unplug printer USB.
• Go to control panel >> installed printers in Windows and remove (delete ) any installed printer from printer list.
• Download driver from website, or use the disk and run the install file.
  
• Follow driver installation wizard.
• Plug back printer when prompted from installation wizard.
