DD40 Delonghi, screen comes up to full display all icons, beeps, flashes to 3 bars and cycles back. How do I reboot?

The flashing pause light on your DeLonghi dehumidifier indicates that the unit is in a defrost cycle. During this time, the compressor shuts off and the fan continues to run in order to thaw any ice that may have formed on the coils. This process typically lasts for 10-15 minutes before the unit resumes normal operation.

I think this means your pump is not working, and therefore the tank is full. The pump could just be switched off, could have failed, or could be clogged. See the other messages regarding this model, for an excellent description of how to clean out a clogged pump.

The water tank is either full or not positioned correctly. Empty the tank and/or make sure it is positioned correctly (should fit perfectly and not bump out from rest of unit).

If you have it connected to the drain directly, your tank may still be filling up unless you have the PUMP button pressed (and PUMP is showing in the LED screen).

It should resart on its own after putting the empty bucket back in. The beep is to let you know that the bucket full and it shuts off the humidifier until the bucket is emptied and put back into the proper position.

i don't know if this will help i have a delonghi portable ac and the e3 means not enough voltage to run properly. but it was doing the same thing as yours. i plugged it in where i knew there was good enough voltage and it works fine now

I have the same problem on ocassion.
I just remove and reseat again , making sure the front of the tank is flush with the unit. sometimes a little more push in does the trick
