Question about Lexmark C500n Laser Printer
The toner forms small lumps and get stuck on the doctor blade of the cartridge. Where there are the lumps it blocks the toner from getting on the roller. Removing the doctor blade and cleaning it with a soft cloth and alcohol can solve your problem.
Send me a mail at [email protected] if you need further help in doing it.

This sounds like a damaged/faulty cartrigde. run three pages off with blocks of colour one page in yellow, one in blue and one in as close to magenta as you can get. depending which page you get streaks on this should tell you which cartridge is faulty.
Hope this helps

I own a C500 and the same thing happens. Black and white OK. Any printing done in colour has vertical streaks all the way down the page. Printed out a page with a blue, yellow and magenta blocks. Yellow was fine the other 2 streaked. Maybe there is some sort of build-up of gunk somewhere?
same thing happened to me
Did you solve the problem in the mean time ?
Same problem here.......it's frustrating that my cheaper printer gives me better results :(
