Question about JVC AV-48WP30 48" Rear Projection Television
I have a JVC AV-48WP30, and I had a lot of issues w/ red lines appearing on my screen. If your problem is like mine, then you have to find the video processor, which is a small, squarish metal box on the main board right behind where the a/v plugs are on the back, and jiggle it a little bit, maybe stick a zip tie on there. That always made my lines disappear.

Hi guys i had the same problem and i fixed myself. All you have to do is to replace the convergence ICs . You need to know how to use a soldering iron. You have to open the TV from the front not the rear because the convergence board is accessible from the front of the tv. The board is the one that has two big black integrated circuits with letters STK and a numbers you cannot miss it there is also some resistor on the front of the ics those have to be replaced also. The board is easy to remove; just draw on a paper how is connected and remove it. You will not spend more than 50 dollars in parts i did mine with 35 dollars. My advice is to remove the board and have someone with electronics knowledge to replace the parts.
