Heard random beeps coming from the oven this morning. The display just had the normal clock. Pressing "off" had no effect, pressing "kitchen timer" resulted in a quick display of the "set time" display, and then immediately returning to the normal clock. Pressing "set time" gave me the correct display, and upon cancelling that request I returned to the "kitchen timer" button, and this time the display was correct, and the beeping had stopped.
Half an hour later I heard beeps again, and when I checked, the display showed the "Hi Broil" and was flashing "Press Start"!!!! I pressed "Clear Off" and the displayed returned to the normal clock. So the random beeps I had heard were random key presses, even though no one was pressing the keys. I flipped the breaker to "off", so I could go to work without the oven starting itself and burning down the house.
Having found this web site, I'll try the "F7" error fix this evening, and see if that clears the random key presses, if not, my house must have spooks!

Press
the "Off/Clear' button to cancel anything on the display, and reset the
microwave. This is a soft reset and will simply get you out of any
program you have started. Press it when the cooking complete reminder
appears on the display.
Perform
a hard reset. Pull the plug out of the wall power supply, and wait a
moment. Plug the microwave back into the wall power supply to reset
any anomalies with the microwave's memory. You will need to reset the
time of day if you perform a hard reset.
Reset
the time of day. Press the "Clock" button, and turn the dial to set the
hours. Press the dial to enter. Follow the same procedure for the
minutes and a.m. or p.m. Press the "Start" button to start the clock. This should help fix the problem.
This is a failure in the control board. It can be rebuilt by fixyourboard.com to save money vs. buying a new one. It is often an intermittent problem and sometimes accompanied by a random E6 F2 error when (or if) the display comes back on.
you have a bad computer board or clock assy. same thing the most common thing that cooks the board is heat and usually from self cleaning the oven, next time send the model number,if this is a slide in stove under the oven door is a drawer, open it and look at the frame, you'll see a tag with model and serial numbers,if that functions by itself you have a bad board.
