Vaio pcvrs530g recovery

I recently tried to recover my media with a nine cdr recovery disc set which I made right after I puchased my computer. There was a recovery partition that I used prior, but I didn't back it up. I had a different newer windows xp installed. The computer was working wonderfully I just wanted to recover giga pocket and a few other programs I deleted. used the recovery discs and my computer crashed. I gave it to a friend and he put a free Mega trends bios and vista on it exactly what I didn't want. The recovery cds were scratched a little from not taking care of them. I wanted to reburn the discs and try to recover again. Is this possible with a diff. form of windows, and bios???

I lost my recovery disk or restore disk for my sony vaio VGN-FE660G. If anyone could direct me in the right direction to get them.

There are no System Recovery CDs included with the computer. The recovery data required to return the computer to the original, factory-installed condition is included on a special partition of the hard drive. Follow this procedure to create the Recovery Media Kit (a set of Recovery Discs), which can be used to restore the recovery partition and return the computer to the original, factory-installed condition.
  1. Ensure all open programs are closed.
  2. Ensure all network connections are disconnected.
  3. Ensure all peripheral devices are disconnected.
  4. From within the VAIO Recovery Wizard application, in the Create Recovery Discs window, click Next.
  5. Under Create Recovery Discs (Step 1 of 3), click to select the option to use either DVD or CD media.
  6. Click the Next button.
  7. At the Insert a blank... dialog box, insert the appropriate disc.
  8. Click the OK button.
  9. Insert a new disc when necessary as instructed.
  10. When all the disks have been created, click the Finish button.

I have sony Vaio VGN-CS36GJ - Recently i was trying to restore it to factory settings via Vaio recovery due to virus attach but suddenly it didn't either recovered to factory setting but looks as operating...

I would have recomended Norton Antivirus or a full programme anti virus to clean your drive. However, it is almost too late for repairs.
You need to format your drive but as there seems to be a "Worm" type virus, I guess due to the problems you are having trying to re install OS, it will keep reinfecting the drive due to it being resident in the memory.
You really need an antivirus programme to clean your Sony Vaio before you can succesfully place an uninfected OS on your drive. I hope the recovery partion is not infected as well, a good anti virus programme will clean it though. When it is clean, boot with a system disk with the same OS on it and when you get to drive "C" hopefully drive "D" will be available, assuming "D" is the recovery drive partition.

When you get your anti virus disk, you will need it to be a bootable disk with the format command on it. When it has been cleaned you can then format the disk and put your recovery OS disk back on.
Hope this helps.
