Netbackup Admin We are trying to retore a HP Proliant DL360 using Netback BMR but there seem to be an issue specific to the DL360. We were able to restore DL580. Are ther any issue specific to the DL360 that you encountered in doing this?
yes we also face the same problem and the error that we get is
Error bpbrm(pid=4036) BMRERR: Received BMR error: The driver for HP NC373i Virtual Bus Device is not compatible with Windows PE. You may need to create a driver package that is Windows PE compatible to restore this system using Bare Metal Restore. From my experience, this is an indication that your fans need replacing. If your system manager is working properly, at night if your system is not use much, the manager will put the system in a low state of operation, almost like hybernation. When a request come in to 'wake-up' the system, the fans do not spin fast enough to cool your system properly thus the errors.
Replace the fans, recheck your settings in system manager making sure the manager software is monitoring the cooling and not the os. This should solve your issue.
You firstly have to make your usb key bootable just google instructions on how to do that.
Set the boot order in the bios to boot from it and then transfer the image to the usb key and install from it.
As soon as the server turns on and you see a BIOS screen press the F8 key constantly. This should be you to the safe mode screen. If not then try another keyboard, or another USB slot.
For Server-HP Proliant , Boot using SmartStart Cd(if you don't have download iso image from HP support site--Free & burn it to media)
Now boot using this Smartstart cd and choose Maintain Server...Use Diagostic options..to check hardware.....Also check Drives status....if amber light
Replace hardware or it is Contact HP for any hardware issue
