MItsubishi VS-4506R projection TV multiple b/w ghost images to the right
Have this model and have noticed that on warm up, the picture will have a series of ghost images off to the right of the first image that subsequently fade out after about the 5th generation...
This problem used to go away after warm up but is steadily getting worse and now never goes away.
I will try to describe the problem another way.
If I had a white screen with a vertical black line in the middle, I would see 4 or 5 more grey ghost type images (lighter and lighter) off to the right. (almost like an infinity mirror effect)
This problem is present using any of the inputs.
Thanks in advance

Well, you did the right first step. However, when the convergence outputs toast up they sometimes cause other problems. First would be the fuses that supply them voltage. These are pico fuses back in the power supply. Second would be open supply resistors that have opened up because of the excessive current draw caused by the whacked out convergence amps. When changing the outputs doesn't solve the problem it takes the repair out of the realm of the do-it-yourselfer. My recommendation is to let a professional take over.
Good Day, jhazelwd;
From what you say it sounds like the Convergence IC's have failed. Part number 267P150010, STK392-570, replace both IC's. They are on the middle board secured to a large heat sink.
Good Luck, big IRISH.
