If you check the operation for spliting to a photo tube. PG 49 you can see the procedure for using a camera (there is a control pin on the side of the scope (shown on pg 49) which you have to operate to switch to the camera output... you should then be able to take your photos :) http://www.vashaw.com/assets/84/84original.pdf

I have a Leica Digilux, but could not fine it anywhere on tghe dealer spots. I need a memory card for it and its difficult to get locally. The size is larger than the regular cameras.

Amazon could be a help:
http://www.amazon.com/MEMORY-Leica-DIGILUX-Digital-Camera/dp/B000Y06WXA

It may depend on what your exact camera model is. You have only stated Leica Digilux.
There is the Leica Digilux 1, Leica Digilux 2, Leica Digilux 3, Leica Digilux 4, and the Leica Digilux 5. Most seem to take the SD HC (the SD card may work as well) card:
http://www.google.com/search?q=Leica+Digilux+memory+card&hl=en&prmd=ivns&source=univ&tbm=shop&tbo=u&sa=X&ei=FjQaTtGBMoKusAKnxLzCBw&ved=0CDsQrQQ

If your camera is a Leica Digilux 1, then the cards it can take are: Secure Digital Card and Multi Media Card
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leica_Digilux_1

If you have an earlier camera, then it could take some other kind such as the Compact Flash Card, although I did not find such a note anywhere.

We have got a leica EMIL microscope. the problem is that we are getting a white hollow in the centre of the images only when using 40x and 100x. this is only visible on the computer screen and the captured...

This issue could potentially be solved by a flatfield software correction of the camera that you are using. I would recommend visiting leica-microsystems.com and filling out a Contact Me request. Your local Leica specialist will then be in touch to help.

Hi, I am searching for cytovision software for karyotyping compatible with the Leica DM 1000 research microscope in our lab. Kindly suggest and oblige, Thanks

Hello, a very late solution to your problem but........

If you have a DM1000 you can add cytovision to your system contacting Leica who now own cytovision. You will likely have to purchase a new camera to be compatible with the software but they can provide you with everything necessary.

Yes, it seems to be a defect in the camera. Leica is servicing them free of charge (I just called them). Send your camera to: 1 Pearl Ct. Unit A, Allendale, NJ 07401 - Include a note discribing the problem. Leica (800)222-0118
