Screechy shower curtain

We have a new shower curtain rod, metal as opposed to our previous plastic rod. The decorative curtain holders are metal and the screech when the curtain is moved is unnerving. We've tried oils, wax and soap with no luck. Any ideas?

I need a shower curtain rod that won't rust/corrode

For rods that won't rust you might need a rod made of stainless steel or even nylon. This site sells these type of shower rods:

I PUT UP A CURVED CURTAIN ROD. IT KEEP CUMMING OFF THE WALL

These rods need a little more support than a standard rod because of their shape. I'm assuming you used a plastic wall anchor in the gyproc or plaster. If so get rid of it and use a butterfly style anchor. The butterfly provides superior support and will allow to tighten the screws more tightly than with the plastic wall anchor. Good luck with your project and let me know if I can be of any further help.

How to Install Shower Curtain

If you are going to use both a shower curtain and a shower liner, you have two options for installation. You can either use one rod and one set of rings, or you can use two rods and two sets of rings. If you used one rod, line up the liner and the curtain so they are facing one another and thread one ring through each of the corresponding grommets on the both the liner and the curtain. The curtain liner will move as one unit. If you use two rods, you need one set of rings for each, and the liner and the curtain will move independently.
