Light is flashing

I am having problem with hp deskjet 810c printer. the third light from top is flashing all the time and there is no possible to print. Thank you.

I was halfway through printing a word document of 35 pages, suddenly printer stopped and bottom light started flashing. No matter what I do I cannot get it to go off. I have cleaned the printer connections, changed the cable but it seems it is an internal printer problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Installer of hp Deskjet 810C on on my laptop since I could not use my hp deskjet 810C printer

Can you please verify that the drivers that is installed for HP 810C is proper as per the operating system.

EX: if you have Win XP then you need to install the HP 810C driver for Win XP. If you have Vista's driver for that printer then it would not work.

So install the proper driver as per the operating system and everything should work fine.

Thanks

The bottom light on the right front of the machine is flashing red. Could you tell me what that means.

Hi,

It means there is a problem with one (or both) of your ink jet cartridges. They may be low or out of ink or not installed properly.

Refer to this page: HP 800 Series lights.

Your manual: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/bpd07116.pdf

Thanks for using Fixya.

Toner light keeps blinking

The inkjet uses ink, not toner. When the light is blinking it indicates something is wrong with one of the cartridges, such as can't find it, not installed, out of ink, improperly installed, printer has died. First thing to try is to disconnect the power (not just power off) for 5 - 10 minutes and reconnect. If that does not resolve it, inspect the cartridges and reinstall them. If you have another printer that uses the same cartridges, try the cartridge in it. if not, get another set of cartridges and install them. If none of these steps resolve the problem, chances are that the printer is the problem and is probably not worth spending additional time on it.

Printer problems

Scrap it. I suspect your 810C has the same problem as mine - it's buggered. I have done everything to address the blinking cartridge light but nothing works. I've come to the conclusion that it's a mechanical/electrical problem and that my 810C, which has worked pretty well, bar the odd tantrum, for many years now, has come to the end of its life. Very possibly its demise has been hastened by the use of remanufactured cartridges, a practice I will continue as long as the real McCoys are such a rip-off.
