It can't be done. The Sanyo remote is for a standalone VCR - DVD recorder. It has no programming capabilities.

Unfortunately, the RMT-D109A that comes with the DVP-S330 CD/DVD player (and possibly other models) will not control a Samsung TV with Smart functions. The RMT-D109A was probably programmed in 1999 (based on the copyright date of the manual). The first Smart TVs were not released until several years later. Universal remotes will only control devices that were released 6 months or more before the remote was programmed.

You would be better off purchasing a new universal remote to control both the Samsung TV and the CD/DVD Player (or other device) controlled by the RMT-D109A.

The TV code lists for the RMT-D109A are page 49 of the DVP -S330 manual. This manual is available on the product support page: https://esupport.sony.com/US/p/model-home.pl?mdl=DVPS330&template_id=1®ion_id=1&tab=manuals#/manualsTab . To program your Sony RMT-V306 remote:

1. Set TV_VIDEO switch to TV
2. Turn on television to be programed
3. Press & hold the I/O (Power) button
4. Enter TV code (Toshiba = 07)
5. Release I/O button
6. Press I/O to turn off TV

If you have a different brand TV, you can get the code from Sony's e-support site here.

• Remember, when changing batteries you will need to reprogram remote.
• The RMT-V306 will not control all functions of your component.
• Although not common, there may be some components the RMT-V306 cannot control.

You can purchase in most cases at Kmart, Walmart or places like that universal Sony remotes which should allow you access to those features.

I cannot find any way of doing this from looking at either manual for the remote or the theater. It is my understanding that RCA makes "smart remotes" that supposedly recognize and control other RCA components, but I have no idea how this works. My suggestion is to read the manuals and maybe find something I didn't or contact RCA Customer Service.
