If when you use the remote the volume, channel, etc options display on the screen then the TV is for the most part working fine...when that is the case the loss of video us usually outside of the tv - cables - cable box - etc
You must have mishandled the ICs they are static sensitive, and unless you used Sanyo ICs then you will have problems. The convergence is obviously not working so the TV will need the digital convergence board repaired or replaced, also the PIP board is suspect I have seen plenty of these tvs and believe me I earned the $ 350 we charged. These sets are very difficult to work on even for a trained tech. the best thing to do is to have a repair shop do it and you will have the assurance that its done correctly, and the work is guaranteed, That makes sense.
