That means that the drum is sticking and you need to make sure that nothing is between the drum and the edges of it OR the control board has failed. See if the drum turns by hand without much effort.

Errors that stop washes are generally cause by a lid lock that isn't working, or a drain pump that isn't passing self test. If it works and then throws the error DURING a wash, it is likely to be the 'out of balance' error.

The E5 error code is only referenced by a technician. More than likely it refers to a circuit board problem. Only solution is to have it replaced by a technician.
This normally indicates that the thermistor is bad. Try measuring it to prove it is OK. It should be 10K Ohms at room temperature (20C / 68F). If necessary, replace it then clear the error code. 1. Enter to Service Mode by press CHIME and TEMPERATURE keys for 3 seconds or until 3 beeps are heard. 2. Access Diagnostic Codes by pressing WRINKLE PREVENT. A d will be displayed. Rotate the CYCLE SELECTOR KNOB in either direction to read it. 3. Press SENSOR DRY and TIME keys for 3 seconds to clear it. 4. Power OFF to exit Service Mode 5. Power ON

If the dryer is running but not heating then the relay on the control, ignitor or thermistor are the most likely causes.
