Here is how you make graphics of functions on the TI 86. The screen captures are from the TI86 Manual by texas Instruments.
Chapter 6 oth the manual concerns Grpahic tools.

Tip: The max point reward for answering a question is 15.
I think you should get a Texas Instruments calculator and push the 'y=' button then put the equation like '2x+4' in the y1 area. You can put the X by using the variable botton. I hope my english makes sense I am not a native speaker.
I don't know that you can replace the screen, but you can download a TI emulator that will let you load you 86's ROM onto your computer and use it on your computer screen.
