I recently formated my hard drive-cant the drivers for my ethernet card.
What's your OS? Win XP, Linux...what? If those are installed correctly, they should automatically find the drivers or prompt you to put in the software disk for it. If WinXP Go to Control panel > System > Hardware Look for any "yellow !" and remove them. Shut down and restart. Should solve your problem.

SOURCE: ethernet driver
Note the Service Tag of the the PC and access the Dell website from another PC. Go into the support section of Dell website, select Download Drivers, and enter the service tag of your PC.
You should be able to find the ethernet driver for it (if there are 2 or more download both and save to a CD or USB memory stick.
Now go to your Dell. You should be able to run the program from the USB stick and it will restore the Ethernet connection.
Do the same for other drivers you need, sound, graphics, etc.

I formatted my hard-drive and re-installed Windows XP Professional and now I can't connect to the internet because I don't have the drivers for my ethernet controller. I don't have a CD containing the drivers either.
