I have a star water sump pump and it is just humming Model # s1101

The motor thats humming bad capacitors or motor the one that pops breaker bad motor

I have a Star power flush ,it trips the breaker everytime the float is activated

Assuming nothing is jamming the impellor it sounds like a capacitor fault. Sometimes these are built in to the pump which can be a pain to get to. Normally near the handle where the cable enters the pump. If your lucky it will be mounted in a control box. Small cylindrical item about 3 inches long. Prob around 10, 12 or 16 micro farad. Easy to change, 2 wires not essential which way round
