My parents bought a 3 dollar box of old ass stone age speakers, and the only one that would work is a sub woofer... the sub woofer of the Logitech z4 set. But, the other two speakers are missing along with the needed remote. So, if I used other cord component to match the sub woofer up would it work? How would I adjust the volume? I'm glad this thing has a attached power cord..the other runner up looks like pre-90s tech(NEC). I have a 2009m Hewlett Packard, which runs 64 bit if that matters. Just so you know, the box contained 2 90s PDAs, 2 old 90s Polk audio systems along with a miniature set. And a late 80s NEC set of twin speakers. Along with a bunch of old useless Direct TV remotes. I like this sub woofer, and it might be better using this than my one right side speaker. The new dog ate my last resort, along with my head phones. So what do you guys think? Is the z4 useless to me without the remote and speakers? These other things look pretty old but I'll try them out while waiting for a answer.
