If you can be a bit more specific by stating model and any codes that maybe showing would be useful in diagnosing the fault.

Hi, If you are renting your home, contact the owner or manager. If this is a window unit it may have a reset button at the plug. You also need to check the main breakers in the breaker panel. If its a split unit, I think you should contact a licensed air-conditioning technician to check it out. Find the REPAIR SERVICE tab on here and find one in your area or check the YELLOW PAGES in your phone book under HEATING AND AIR-CONDITIONING. You might want to talk with a neighbor to find a good air-conditioning technician. Without further information, I cant think of anything else. Hope I have helped you. kstfas

Peek inside the opening on the front of the inside unit. You should be able to see the blower assembly/fan blades. See if any of them blades are cracked, warped, or debris on them. If seen these minisplits mildew on those blades also, which will cause it to be off balance. If you move the fan to different speeds does the sound change? If its down that since day 1, its probably a defect. Hope this helps!

Car turns over doesnt start then nothing at all

Happened to me several times in Florida, once in Canada. 1999 Chrysler Seabring Convertible Lxi 2.7. Computer locks out ignition for random periods. Took it to a Huge dealership in Florida, paid $350.00 for transmission shaft speed sensor stuff. Fixed it. Fine since. 1 yr. later body control module went (computer). Expensive to fix.$(800.00 just for dealer only part) Air door control, tachometer, and a rear window affected. I'll live with it as the 'failsafe' for loss of AC control is AC is 'Defrost/Floor'. Fan works fine.

You likely have a defective expansion valve, recover the charge from the system and pull off the interior panels to expose the AC evaporator core and the expansion valve.

Charge battery, purchase new one if old one is no good, If your water is frozen the engine requires antifreeze at least 50/50 mix, and then try it

Start simple and try another adapter, I usually advise people when this occurs to take it to a local pc shop where they can do some very quick power tests right on the desk there. Trying another adapter is step one, then a test of the DC jack is step 2 and then on to the rest of the power circuit of the motherboard is more extensive and needs a system teardown.

There is a lubricant that is added along with the refrigerant when an AC system is charged. The noise you hear might be the compressor starving for oil.

Honeywell VisionPro TH8110R1008 controlling a Carrier FA4ANF018 electric furnace/AC. Heater won't turn on. Honeywell VisionPro TH8110R1008 controlling a Carrier FA4ANF018 electric furnace/AC. As best I can recollect, the sequence of events went like this: Furnace was working normally. Thermostat was set at 70. Turned temperature on thermostat down to 67 and left the apartment. Didn't notice if furnace was running or not at the time, nor if it was running and shut off when I lowered the temp. Came back an hour later. Furnace was running and temp was up to 72 degrees. Thermostat looked normal. No indication of low batteries. Tried turning the system off on the thermostat. Furnace continued to run. Nothing on the thermostat would affect the furnace. Eventually turned off the circuit breaker (for the apartment electrical, not the breaker on the furnace) to stop furnace. Waited. Turned breaker on. Furnace stayed off. Batteries failed in thermostat and screen went dark with barely readable failing battery message. Put in new batteries. Thermostat fired up but still wouldn't control the furnace. Switched to cooling. AC went on. Couldn't turn AC off. Had to turn breaker off again. Turned breaker on. Thermostat displayed "Wait" message when I tried turning on the furnace. Waited half an hour. Wait message disappeared. Still can't turn furnace on. Slid out lithium backup battery and slid back. Thermostat makes appropriate click sounds as if it is turning the furnace on or off, but furnace doesn't respond. Equipment Status screen shows furnace on or off depending on thermostat settings. Set thermostat to System Off. Checked breaker on side of furnace. Was off. Turned on. Turned temp up on thermostat. Thermostat clicked, but furnace did not go on.
