Wish to upgrade cartridge filter pump to sand filter pump. Pool size 15' X 48" / pump 1000 gph - 637R /Item no 56945 Which intex sand filter is the best one?

First, understand that sand doesn't filter as finely as cartridges, so "upgrade" may be the wrong word. Cartridges filter down to about 10 microns, sand filters to 25-30 microns. (i.e.the cartridge will catch particles up to 3X smaller than sand will.)

If you still want to change, get the biggest sand filter available that you can comfortably afford. For superior results look at above ground pump/filter packages built by Hayward or Pentair. Intex products are just built to margin and are not designed for long term usage.

88 It is the Setup/Start up Code. it is displayed until you set the timer. which you do so by holding down the down arrow till you hear a beep, then hold down the up arrow till you here a beep. from there you can set the time and then to lock it in repeat the process. On the filter set it to run atleast 1 hour longer than you SWS. set the timer on both at the same time.

The link has a set-up video for the 637R pump. Make sure water flows out of the air valve on the top of the filter cover. This will purge air out of the filter and prime the pump. Hope this helps you....

Impeller in intex model 635 broken where can I buy replacement part?

A late answer but it might help future Intex impleller sufferers... they do not sell replacement parts and you won't find any impellers sold separately anywhere on the planet. I've had 1 Intex pool and 3 Intex filter pumps in 3 years. Last week the 3rd pump's impeller broke as well. I shan't buy their products again.

Drain the water from the filter and pump housing. With the water out of the filter, you can now shore the filter near the pool or in your near by shed or garage.

You've gotta keep that annoying filter pretty darn clean to please the saltwater pump. I have to scrub my filters daily for this reason. What pump do you have? Mine is rated for 4000gph but I see Intex even offers support for pumps with as little as 500gph.

I have a intex 637R pump and the problem is it does not seem to be pumping water corretly. It seems like not enough suction filter is new have cheecked for air it does not seem to be working properly....

I have the same problem. I've replaced the filter and made sure nothing was blocking the inlet or outlet but it barely pumps. I also bled the air out.

There is no defect for this particular model, however, these lower end units are notorious for short life.
