Question about Canon PIXMA MP150 All-In-One InkJet Printer
Isnt e5 error meaning the cartridge has been previously used before?? Best bet is to hold in both the colour and black copy buttons for about 5 - 10 seconds and this should allow you to print again. If you do not have a copier/scanner, hold in the resume button. (triangle within a circle).

Sorry actually the only thing you could try doing with this is to try and clean the contacts of the cartridge itself using a rubber eraser and also those inside the printer, using cotton buds and isopropyl alcohol (you could also use metho or water). If this doesnt fix it then you need to replace the cartridge concerned. The colour cartridges have had high failure rates for refilling, after they have been reinstalled and used for a short period the electronics tends to die. Wasnt always a problem and just suddenly became an issue.

Usually answered in minutes!
error e5 appears on the panel. i tried to reinstall the cartridge, but it doesn't work.
I started having my cartridges refilled at a professional ink station. Then for some very important work of my wife's, I bought a Canon cartridge again for highest quality printing. We went through one cartridge (PhD to print!), which worked fine. When I put another new Canon cartridge in, it suddenly started refusing to recognise either cartridge (new Canon black ink and old refilled cartridge). Now I can't do anything, not even scan--I can only watch the error code E5 blinking stupidly on the display at me.
Is there at least some way I could get it to scan?
