I had the same problem. Once I plugged in the hardware and clicked on the the PhotoViewer icon it fired up with no error and I have just finished making up 12 of these photo keychains for work with 60 photos on each. All in all it took around 30 mins to complete - including editing the photos (really basic editing).

Hope that helps.

Your computer will certainly have its own program for viewing photos. For example, if you are using Windows XP, you just right click on a photo file and choose "preview". It can be difficult to find the photos on your computer if you have been using one of the silly organizers that come with cameras. You can search for a photo if you know its filename or for *.jpg to find all the photos on your hard drive.

1. Connect the USB cable to your computer and Digital Photo Keychain. Press ^/down to
access the USB update mode on the Digital Photo Keychain and press the menu/power
button ( ). Your keychain will now say, “updating” and you are ready to open the software
on your computer. (Please note that the keychain will continue to say, “updating” the entire
time that you are working with the program on your computer and will change only when you
safely disconnect it from the computer.)
IMPORTANT: The keychain MUST be plugged in and in “update” mode in order for you to
open the Photo Viewer program. If it is not plugged in, or is in the wrong mode, you will get
the following error: No photo viewer is found, program terminated!
2. Once the keychain is plugged in and in “update” mode, double click the Photo Viewer
icon on your desktop to launch the application.
3. Use Photo Viewer’s file manager to browse photos on your computer.

I have not used my Photo Viewer for a few months. Was working ok. But now Software would not respond when I plugged keychain in. Tried many times. Uninstalled PhotoViewer Software. Re installed same....

The program is corrupt. Uninstall it, delete all remaining files and folders, run a registry cleaner, defragment, download a new installer and install it again but in a different location.
Or you could just install a much better photo viewer   http://www.irfanview.com/

Program will not run properly

I found this on an Amazon review. I hope it works for you:

1) Install the software on the CD (although the application won't open just yet)
2) Plug in the usb cable into the pc and the keychain and wait a minute (nothing happened here for me)
3) Unplug the cable that goes into the keychain, and then plug it back in. On the keychain screen, an option menu should come up that allows you to select either to power the keychain or to update the keychain via usb. Select the update option. (Note that drivers might install before this or maybe it found the driver I downloaded at the coby website?)
4) Now that you have selected the update option, you can now open the program that was installed off of the cd. Select the pictures you want, move them over, and then download them to the keychain.

Photo Keychain Won't Work

Found this on Yahoo.

1. Download the drivers from here: www.mscustomercare.com
2. Make sure the device is fully charged and not in charge mode.
3. Unzip and install the drivers with the device connected to your pc.

Try to see if that fixes the issue

Copy DP-151 Photo Viewer software does not work.

You have to push the USB cable into the keychain until it pops. Push it in hard! I thought mine was all the way in because the keychain lit up, but it wasn't.

Scenario vu-me digital photo keychain problems

Our vu-me golf photo ball came with a small CD that has the photoviewer software on it. It keeps slipping out of my CD-ROM drive because of its size. We also have Windows 7 and the software isn't compatible. We're unable to find a downloadable compatible version of the photoviewer software.

It's a POS...I'm gonna try to return it...INNOVAGE IS A RIPOFF....

Innovage photo keychain

try this. it worked for me. found it on amazon.com:

16 of 16 people found the following review helpful: stars-3-0._v47082372_.gif Not bad, once you figure it out, December 4, 2007 By zorra007 (Las Vegas, NV USA) - See all my reviewsI decided to review this because I had a hard time figuring out how to use this, and I basically pieced it together based on other reviews. Consider this a "how to" for those PC owners who are frustrated and don't want to take it back:

1) Go to mscustomercare.com, click on "Innovage Digital Photo Keychain," then download the "Photo Viewer Install." Try to save the .zip file to your desktop for easy finding/access.

2) Once it is downloaded, open the .zip file, click on "photo viewer" folder, then click "setup." Let the program run. It will put an icon on your desktop called "Photoviewer." Don't bother clicking on that right now.

3) Plug in the USB cord, then plug in the device. A blue screen will pop up on the device. (If it doesn't, then click the power button first). Choose the "USB Charge" option. Allow the device to charge for at least an hour. [The booklet says to let it charge up to 7 hours first, but I found that this isn't necessary].

4) After an hour (or longer), click the power button on the device. Another blue screen will pop up, along with some options. At this point, you can program the date and time.

5) Next, unplug the USB from the device, then from the computer. Then re-plug in the USB cord into your computer, and then into the device. Then turn on the device. Choose the "USB Update" option. At this point, your computer should automatically detect the device as storage hardware, and will automatically configure itself. (I have Windows XP, btw.)

6) After the computer finishes configuring itself, you will be able to open the Photoviewer program. (As you probably know, most people say that trying to open the program before doing this will result in a "no program detected, will terminate" or similar message.) Anyway, if all goes well--which it should--the program will open and you can then upload your pictures onto the device. It's really quite easy and self-explanatory.

7) A good rule of thumb is to save all of your pictures in a folder, in the order you want them to be on the device. Perhaps even better would be to resize or photoshop them before hand for maximum viewing quality. For example, the pictures I have that are close-up headshots look really great and fit nicely/clearly, while the ones I have of lots of people are not so clear. In fact, you can barely see some people's faces.

8) Once you are done cropping and adding your pictures, hit "synchronize" and it will put them on the device. Once it finishes, it will tell you. Just close the program then, and safely remove the hardware from your computer (click on the icon on your computer tray). Once you safely remove it, I prefer to just plug it in again, and choose "USB Charge," until the battery is fully charged and the light is green.

So, with some planning and patience, this device can work out pretty well. It took some time to figure this out, but I am happy to pass it on, as knowing this would have saved me some serious time. I am quite happy with it, and will be sending it to my cousin who is serving in the Marines in Iraq. :)
