Sounds like a vacuum leak has developed in the intake system. While the engine is whistling, using a spray bottle with water and on the mist setting, spray along the intake manifold area and vacuum hoses to locate a possible leak.
I don't think your whistling is related to your chain adjustment. What else might be whistling ... helmet ... ???Did you change anything else? Was your chain loud before and possibly covered the noise you are now hearing?

a couple of things could make the tv chassis whistle 1 coud be dry solder joint probably on power capacitors 2 IF your tv has tube the board on the back could be making the noise its to do with the yoke on the way out!
