Dishwasher I bought a 2006 Kenmore dishwasher model #66516032400 and the water does not totally drain out from the dishwasher. There is always a small amount of water left at the bottom. Has done this from day 1.

Check whether the drain line was assembled exactly as per Kenmore's instructions. Good luck!

My Frigidare dishwasher is not draining so I cleaned the filter. Will there always be a little water left in the lowest part where it drains?

There will always be a small amount of water in the bottom because the pump is an impellor type, not syphon or peristaltic. The water will be whatever is in the drain pipework after the drain cycle has finished. If the machine is leaving a lot of water, the it would be worth checking the drain hose isnt blocked or kinked, and the drain pump impellor moves freely

Is there a drain or screen to remove and clean, have small amount of water in botton of dishwasher, always there

A small amount of water is normal and is needed to keep the rubber gaskets from drying and leaking. If it still cleans good don't worry about it.

I would like to know if you have water left behind in the area of the drain is that normal? Should this be completely drained away?

No, it's totally normal, The pump can't totally empty the washer and the hose because once it starts pumping air and water the air gives least resistance so the water remains in the hose. When the pump switches off gravity pulls a small amount of water back into the drain.

Your washer is 100% fine.

We have water in the bottom of the diswasher we havegfot down to a part that we cant get off, i think there is food trapped and that is what is stopping it from draining any suggestions

DWs always have a residual amount of wtare left in them after every wash cycle as a means to prevent the heater buring out when it is switched on. With the power and water supply turned off you can either ladle out the water with a small cup or siphon it out with a piece of hose or plastic tube.

Our GE Dishwasher model GLD4500N00BB will only drain a small amount of water out of the dishwasher. there is water left standing after a wash. what is going on?

Look for restricted drain system. Screens and ports get plugged, also verify the drain hose is NOT kinked at all. Hot water draining relaxes hose and can cause restriction.

Standing water at drain in dishwasher after using.  Is this normal or should the water drain completely.

Most dishwashers leave a small amount of water in the bottom to keep the seals lubricated. If it is only a small amount of water it should be normal.

On another website, we found a reset code that works for our Kenmore, which I think is the same as yours. Hit Heated Dry, Normal Wash, Heated Dry, Normal Wash (one at a time, within six seconds).
