When I pressed the power button only blinking the led amber of battery only one time. It was necessary that I remove and insert many times the jack of power supply and contemporaneally I must press the power botton until the notebook correctly wake up. When it wake up, ok windows XP open. When the notebook became hot, the problem is not present and the notebook wake up immediately without problem. From 2 days the problem is very demaged. Now, when the notebook turn on, the lcd remain black, the fun are ok but the Notebook do not make post, the LCD screen do not light. What do you think? if I change motherboard I will solve the 2 problem?: 1) do not wake up 2)lcd Black Please answer if do you have any idea. thanx everyone
If you know how to dismantle your laptop, then look for the 1500uF 6.3V capacitor that blown..
it looks like this
then you need to replace it.

Try an external monitor if it works and you see everything then your LCD is had it.....also go to the control panel and look in the power options and stop the hibernation of the power option software in your laptop. If nothing works come back here and ask again. Giving you too much instructions will confuse you so lets begin at some little instructions first.

OK Paeroa, thanx for all. I dont know where buy a new motherboard also used. I think now I will remove every parts of my ECS Green 733 with PIV 2.66 Ghz, remove the bios battery to reset Bios and leave it for any hours to reset completally the bios.
Then I will test CPU, memory RAM and any other parts on another laptop. I like do this operation, also if I'm not a really thecnics but only I know
but I know that the only part wrong is the mainboard.
tanx for all
SAME PROBLEM.
It worked for a while, but now will not light up. The power switch light is green, but no other lights, and no screen.

I'm from Brazil and have the same problem in a g733.
I'm going to a place that fix pc's mobos and ask to replace the capacitor indicated here and see what happens. Cost of this, over here, is aprox. 25 USD.
Well... That's it. Disassembled my g733, and for my surprise 3 of the capacitors was blown and the other 5 ready to blow (stuffed). Changed the 8 for R$ 90,00 (aprox. 40 USD). Works flowless now. Thankyou VERY much.
